Multiplication: Part 4

While Ladybug distracted Ikari Gozen, Chat Noir and I sneaked away to the school and got in our positions.

"Are you ready?" Ladybug asks when she gets there.

"Fisher cat and bear in position."

"Make way for the new world!" We hear Ikari Gozen yell as she attacks Ladybug, Chat activating the trap, trapping her sword. 

She tugs for a few moments before reaching to grab the beam keeping her sword stuck when I jump from above and shoot ice at her hands, preventing her from grabbing the beam. In her shock, Chat takes the chance to cataclysm her sword.

"No more evil-doing for you Megakuma. Time to de-evilize! Gotcha! Bye-bye little butterfly."

We watch as Tsurugi reverts to normal and the three of us pound it before explaining to her she was akumatized.

"How could I help it? They refused to let me demolish the Buttes-Chaumont Park to make way for my techno pool."

All this for a pool? I inwardly shake my head in disappointment as I tell her. "It's a beloved park of course they won't let you. You can just build it somewhere else."

"Ms. Tsurugi can you check to see whether you have a miraculous with you? Monarch would've given it to you after you were akumatized," Ladybug asks, and Tsurugi starts patting herself down for it. 

"What is it?"

"A coin with a hole in the center, worn as a pendant."

She shakes her head. "I don't have anything like it with me."

"How did Monarch do it then?" I ask, confusion written on my face.

"That's the surprise he had in store for us after lying low for so long," Chat comments when our miraculous alert us it was time to go.

"MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!"

After fixing everything, giving Tsurugi a magical charm, and reminding her the old monuments are what make this city beautiful we head out and discuss this further. But we couldn't make sense of it, we had no idea how Ikari Gozen had the power of Multiplication without the physical miraculous.

"The ties that bind us are precious, unique. They can all be found inside a jewel: unique Alliance. Alliance informs, guides, and protects."

We watched the new Gabriel brand ad for a new efficient ring, it showed helping Adrien with his homework, Lila finding a store, and sending Adrien to a safe place.

"Created by Tsurugi Co. and designed by Gabriel: Alliance. Bringing you closer together."

"I thought Adrien said he quit modeling and that his dad was ok with it," I say, looking at the ring on the screen that was positioned at the weirdest spot on the index finger, leaving me wondering how it doesn't fall off.

"I did too and what's with Mr. Agreste's white-out look?" Mari asks, frowning at the ad.

"I'd say it's an improvement from looking like an overgrown candy cane."

"I guess but I don't really like this."

"Me neither."

For some reason, the Alliance rings gave me an off-feeling.
