United HeroeZ (New York Special): Part 3

I look around for Marinette and Adrien worriedly while Doorman talks about the built structure of the Statue of Liberty where in a hollow stone there's a replica of the Declaration of Independence and a safe with various artifacts left by the unveilers of the statue and how much he'd love to know what's inside the safe but couldn't for a few reasons one being the key to the safe was in the Eiffel Tower. I jump a bit when Zoé grabs my shoulder and asks, "Hey are you ok? You look tense." "I don't see Marinette or Adrien anywhere, I'm just worried they got lost," I lie since I can't exactly tell her the three of us were superheroes that needed to head back to Paris right now. Zoé looks around and sighs while facepalming as she mumbles. "I told them not to do it." "What are you talking about?"

I ask suspiciously and Zoé gives me a frown. "Aeon and Jess. They were talking earlier about ways to get Marinette to confess to Adrien by trapping them in there and pretending a supervillain was going to attack them unless she confesses. I told them not to but they're not here either," I looked toward the room Zoé was pointing toward, slightly glared at it, and make my way over to try and open the door but it was locked. Zoé helps me try to open it when there's a sound of something heavy hitting the door. "What was that?" I ask when we hear a shot being fired and glass breaking.

"I'm getting Mr. Gate," Zoé says, running back to the group to tell her teacher while I looked for a place to hide so I could transform if needed. When I hear more shots being fired inside I quickly transform and look around, there had to be another way in that room. That's when the connected wall to the door crumbles and more shots are fired out here. Doorman transformed and escorted everyone out of the building. An upgraded-looking Techno Pirate emerges from the dust as Sparrow shoots out and attacks. Techno Pirate targets Sparrow and I tackle him out of the way just as Uncanny Valley flew in. I attack Techno Pirate with Uncanny Valley while Sparrow called for backup. Doorman re-appears and tells us to let him handle this. Uncanny Valley starts to fly away when Techno Pirate grabs her and steals her power, shouting, "Your power be mine!" Doorman jumps out of the way of his new laser as Uncanny Valley feels around her forehead for her missing third eye. 

"Nobody escapes my sight!" He yells sending out more lasers and forcing us to hide. Sparrow goes in for an attack, only to get thrown back into the other room straight into a pillar. It wasn't long before Uncanny Valley tackles Techno Pirate back into the room and I rush in to help just in time to see Chat Noir running over to help and Ladybug saving Sparrow and all three of our eyes locked as the two questioned each other. "Oh boy..." I mutter, knowing full well this wasn't gonna end well.

"Why aren't you back in Paris?" Ladybug asks when we hear more destructive noises in the main room and I tell them. "Question later," We run into the main room to help with Techo Pirate, keeping him away from Uncanny Valley thanks to LB's yoyo flinging him into a wall. "You've come all the way from Paris to help us out?" Sparrow asks and Chat nervously nods. "Yeah, thought it'd be a friendly gesture to give you a hand in honor of French-American Friendship Week," Ladybug sighs exasperatedly and I shake my head no at her. Now was not the time. We all move out of the way when more lasers are shot at us while Sparrow tells Uncanny Valley. "See that? They don't need anyone's permission to take action." "That's right. He never asks for anything, do you Chat Noir?" Ladybug asks angrily as she kicked Techno Pirate. "Ladybug not the time to do this," I say seriously, tugging Chat out of the way of being hit because her anger had distracted him.

"Did you warn Knightowl and Majestia?" "Couldn't. But you know what? We don't need anyone's permission either." "Are you sure you wanna step out of procedure?" "This is our chance to prove to them that we're just like those three: autonomous bonded together but trust and super efficient!" Those two converse while, Chat, LB, and I fought Techno Pirate. Well, that's what we were supposed to be doing anyway... "Just go and rest easy. Yeah, leave Paris to me," Ladybug mocks Chat who tries to explain the situation. "I didn't know I was going to leave, it was a last-minute decision-" He gets cut off when he's blasted in the back and crashes into Ladybug. "You do realize that because of you there's no one left in Paris to protect the city?!" I tug the two up from the ground and reiterate that now was not the time for this. Techno Pirate takes this chance to escape and the five of us chase after him. "Why didn't you tell us that you were leaving?" "I was afraid you'd get angry." "You were right. I'm very angry!" "Ladybug for the last time now is not the time to talk about this!" I interrupt them as we corner Techno Pirate on a roof.
