"No, I'm not a principal, I'm a superhero- I-I-I mean it's the other way around. Darn..." Mr. Damocles jumbles over his words.

"Well, it's a good thing you're not trying to be a superhero because it's very dangerous to do the same thing they do when you don't have magical powers and supersuits." Marinette makes her point, crossing her arms at Socqueline.

"Yeah well, what if it's a relief for Ladybug to have people help her?" Socqueline argues.

"No way would she want that, it's too risky."

"Yes, but you gotta know when to step in. That's the only way you can change things in life."

"I know, you told me that back in Elementary school but in this circumstance, it's Ladybug's job to take risks and no one else's because if everyone takes risks, Ladybug may have to take more risks in order to deal with their risks. Which is even riskier!" Mari hisses through her teeth.

Projecting much?

I shake my head and sigh while Mr. Damocles not so subtly whispers, "Sounds like someone's jealous because she wants to be a superhero."

"I do NOT! I'm Marinette. I'm very happy to be a normal girl with a normal life and so should everyone else!" Marinette yells at him and I jab her when he makes a sad face.

"Okay...You know what? I'm gonna take care of Mr. Damocles and we can continue this afterward?" Socqueline awkwardly says, leading Mr. Damocles back to the mask aisle.

Tightly grabbing Marinette's arm I drag her into an empty aisle and hiss at her.

"You went too far."

"I know but I can't get Socqueline to admit she was the Ladybug from earlier, she's not getting flustered at all."

"That's just because she's a better liar than you," I give her a blank stare with my arms crossed.

"Then we'll need evidence. Please Alliance."

"Marinette no!" Tikki, Flaake, and I whispered shout at her but it was too late, she was already checking Socqueline's walking path this morning which showed she was there that morning.

"There, she can't lie about this."

I mean she can, she was just on a morning walk at the time for instance.

I roll my eyes when an emergency alert pops up.

"Yet another experiment by Dr. Anne-Jeanne Théoxanne du Bocquale gone wrong. Her crossbred animals are on the loose!" Nadja reports as a video of flying T-Rexs was shown.

"Be right back!" Marinette calls out and we run out of the store, transform, and head out to deal with the problem.

It took a bit but we managed to get the situation under control and get back to the Art shop within ten minutes.

"I'm such an airhead, forgot to lock my scooter," Marinette chuckles.

"At least some things never change. Can I have my Alliance back? I need it to place the orders."

"Oh yeah, of course," Mari starts to hand it back when it goes off.

"Socqueline, you've covered a hundred and thirty-five kilometers in fifteen minutes, that's more than average for people your age. Well done."

Our eyes widen in shock and panic.

It was tracking her movements while transformed? How?

A bad feeling starts creeping into my stomach, I don't like the fact it could still track us if we ever had an Alliance. It would take one person to get ahold of that information and start putting two-and-two together.

"What did you do to my Alliance? You got superpowers or something?" Socqueline asks.

"I...Must've done something to screw up the controls while I was looking through its features. My bad," Marinette awkwardly smiles.

"That's ok, it's still pretty new to the market, they probably haven't fixed all the bugs yet."

Marinette and I sigh in relief that she bought the excuse and we watch as she restarts the Alliance.

"Hello, I am Alliance. What is your name, please?"

"There, like new."

"Hello, There Like New."

We laugh at the Alliance before we start to head out.

"Marinette wait! Here's your mom's order."

Marinette started to head out and reached her scooter, soon noticing I wasn't getting on.

"What?"

"You didn't convince her to stop playing Ladybug."

"How am I supposed to do that without telling her I'm Ladybug? How do you want me to talk to her without talking to her and unmask her without unmasking her?"

"By talking to her and unmasking her. She's made it clear she's not gonna unmask herself so you just need to come out with it that you know it's her and she shouldn't do it because it's dangerous and people like you and her family care about her wellbeing. That's how."

"Fine, I'll go back..."

She goes back and I shake my head at her when I see a familiar blue head walking around. I wave at him when he notices me and starts making his way over.

"Hey (y/n), what are you doing here?"

"We caught one of Marinette's old friends masquerading around as Ladybug earlier today so she's convincing her not to do that and I'm here she actually does it," I admit after making sure it was safe to talk.

"Sounds like your work is cut out for you," Luka laughs.

"What else is new?" I joke when I notice Luka starting to get a little bashful.

"So have you given my advice any thoughts?"

"I...Uh..." I start to get bashful myself, recalling his advice but before I can give a proper answer my phone rings. "Hold that thought," I answer the call.

"(y/n), Dark Owl is back!"

"At the Art shop? I'll be there soon."

I end the call and give an apologetic smile to Luka. "Sorry duty calls."

"No worries, good luck!" He shouts as I run off to transform.

I met Ladybug at the Art shop as she was inspecting the Alliance on the floor when a recording started to play.

"The Megakuma is in your mask right?"

"Still as clever as always Ladybug."

That's when a transmission appears of The Dark Owl, threatening to drop Socqueline into a small can of paint if we don't hand over our miraculous. Of course, we won't listen but we head to where they are.

"Let the girl go Dark Owl!"

"Look at my outfit Ladybug I am now...The Darker Owl! Hoo-Hoo!"

"How original," I sarcastically drone as Chat Noir arrives.

"Careful ladies, I smell a trap!"
