Stepping back and wiping my brow I look at the finished stand for the stringed instrument booth with a smile.

"Nice work Luka, it looks amazing. I love how you added fairy lights," Mrs. Evans says excitedly, clapping her hands.

I thank her when my attention turns behind me after hearing some familiar voices and I see a few feet away from me is (y/n) and Marinette talking to André.

"Hey, Mrs. Evans do you mind if I step away for a moment? I see some friends I'd like to say hi to," I ask, pointing at them for her to see and she nods her head.

"Yeah, go ahead. You've earned a break."

With that, I head on over just as André handed Marinette an ice cream cone.

"There to share with your two friends."

"What other friend?" She asks looking from side to side.

"Hey, Marinette. Hey (y/n)," I announce my presence startling her in the process.

"Hey Luka, good to see you. Helping Mrs. Evans run her stand?" (y/n) asks with a smile and I nod as we start walking back to it.

"I was gonna say I'm surprised to see you here Luka. I thought you already knew what career you wanted to pursue," Mari says, starting to dig into the ice cream.

"I do. I'm helping Mrs. Evans with her booth where we tell people about being the maker of stringed instruments," I explain, my attention turning to a note informing me Mrs. Evans had to go help some others with their booths. "What about you two? Aren't you well on your way to becoming a (dream job) and fashion designer?" I asked them, recalling that the career expo was for students who weren't sure about their futures.

They both explain their reasonings for being here, (y/n) was looking for a backup plan just in case and Marinette had taken up a bunch of new interests that she wasn't sure anymore.

"You're so lucky you already know what you wanna do," Marinette sighs.

"I just listened to my inner voice," I say, grabbing a specific guitar off its stand. "This is the first instrument I made myself. I wanted this to be your anniversary present but it wasn't done yet. It took two years to finish."

(y/n)'s face goes adorably pink as she looks over the carvings and designs when Alec approaches with his camera crew insulting the job.

"Two whole years to make one guitar when you can download an app in two seconds to your phone?" He demonstrates this by playing a guitar app on his phone. "Yet another pointless job. You gotta be kidding me."

(y/n) starts arguing with him about why stringed instrument makers were important when I grab a violin and tell them to follow me. Heading to the small beach and I move the violin around in the wind, creating a beautiful melody.

"To add to (y/n)'s argument, musical instruments fill the space and space fills the instruments. No phone in the world will ever be able to do that."

Alec starts to tear up before again yelling for the cameras to cut and storming off.

"Well, Luka you definitely have a gift for finding the right words at the right time," Mari compliments.

"Adrien," I respond, seeing the blonde sit down, looking upset.

"Uh- Most of the time," Marinette says with a sheepish smile, not understanding what I meant, (y/n) soon pointing him out.

"You still haven't told him about your feelings right?"

"How exactly am I supposed to explain that I don't know how I feel about him?"

A good question. It starts with seeing why he's upset. I think as I lead her over to him and ask him what was wrong.
