Author: I'm sorry everybody but I had messed up Part 4 of Timetagger, some paragraphs at the beginning of the chapter weren't added without me noticing because in the document I had Timetagger written in it was set up as 5 parts, not 4 so I accidentally skipped over to after Chris was de-akumatized. Sorry about that but thanks to QueenadaFyr she pointed out the confusion of how part 4 was and now part 4 should be fixed. Thanks again QueenadaFyr!
Marinette drags me onto the subway and Tikki points out this wasn't the way to the bakery. "No, it's not Tikki, I just said that so we could lead our investigation undisturbed." "So lying," Flaake corrects her and she nods with a sigh. "I didn't want to hurt Mylène's feelings, it was her idea to plant the trees this afternoon but something totally fishy is going on. All the boys are totally unavailable with really lame excuses and trust me, (y/n) and I know a lame excuse when we hear them, we've become experts since becoming you know who."
She says with a wink and I nod before stating, "Alright let's figure out what's going on so we can head back." "So you're ok with this?" Flaake asks me and I nod. "Today yes, Luka's text worried me, something that came up that he can't tell me is a little off-putting." "Exactly, I'll try calling Ivan, he can't lie to save his life if there's something secret going on he'll definitely blab," She phones Ivan and he doesn't pick up. None of the boys answer hers or my calls, not even Luka, making me worry more because he always answered his phone or at least sent a text. "No answer," I mutter and Mari lets out a victorious chuckle. "Proves my point they're all together and I think I have an idea of where they could be," Mari says, scrolling through her stories section on her phone when she shows me a story claiming that Gabriel Agreste went to Tokyo for fashion week.
"Makes sense, when the cat's away the mice will play, this might be a guys' night then and that's why they're not picking up." "Only one way to find out," Mari exclaims as we make our way to Agreste manor. When we get there we watch as Marc and Nathaniel enter through the gate and Mari cheers as she drags me to the gate. "I knew it!" "Are you sure this is a good idea?" Tikki asks and Mari shoots back a question. "All the guys are together at Adrien's place so why can't we be there too? We'll just pretend we were passing by."
"So another lie," Flaake points out and Mari corrects her. "Just a half-truth." "Again this seems like a guys' night situation, we can ring the door and see if we're allowed in and then ask why we and the girls weren't invited then we can go back," I say, reaching for the doorbell when a loud soundwave sent out flying, this was as loud as the speakers we had for the music festival! By the time Marinette and I could recuperate from that blast Officer Roger was ringing the doorbell and Marinette was once again dragging me to the gate shouting about how this was our chance but the gate closed. (With the way the gate is designed she could claim halfway up the gate and slip through it with how big those circle curl things are)
At this point, I try dragging Marinette back to the river to help plant the trees because it was becoming more and more obvious this was a guys' night as more and more guys started showing up. "But I want in on the party as well!" She pouts and I let out a huff. "Fine, see if they'll let you in but I'm telling you now they won't," She does just that. "Hi, I'm one of Adrien's buddies from school and he personally invited me to his party," The gate doesn't open and she rings again asking, "Why are all the guys allowed in and we're not?!" "Told you~ It's a guys' night~" I tease her before crossing my arms. "Though it would've been nice if they just told us they wanted to do this while Mr. Agreste was away so they could help with the planting another day," We start heading back to the river and Mari nods, grumbling. "Guys...Guys? Guys! Of course!" She suddenly shouts but before I ask what she was talking about she was shoving a costume on me that made me look like a guy before doing the same to herself.
"Hi there, it's me Marino, and Gustav, we heard there was a party going on here and it's guys only so we'd like to come here too cuz we're guys," Mari tells the bodyguard in a fake Italian accent and I find myself resisting the urge to facepalm at her. Somehow though this worked and we were let into the party and oh my goodness it looked like a blast! There were streamers, confetti, flags, a smoke machine, live music, and even some food vendors and everyone was clearly having the time of their lives. If this is what guys' night is like I want some tips for the next girls' night.
We barely get in before noticing a very familiar face. "Master Fu?" We ask and he gives us a shocked look before giving us a fake name. "Who me? Not at all, I'm DJ Wang," He makes a few beatboxing noises and I snort while Mari lets him know it was us. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be extra careful, you know keeping the miraculous hidden so Hawkmoth doesn't get ahold of them?" "Don't worry Marinette, the miraculous are cool," He pats the cooler he was currently sitting on. Ah, that's where the miracle box was. Before we could say anything else Adrien grabs Marinette and drags her over to D'Argencourt, André Glacé, a fireman, Officer Roger, and the school janitor who wanted to do the Holiday-a Camp dance. It wasn't long before Station Nation was put on and I had to contain my laughter as Marinette struggled to keep up with everyone else because she didn't know the dance. (Love the fact it's just the YMCA song)
