Adrien heads to the city hall where Prince Ali's birthday was being held and finds Kagami waiting outside for him. "Kagami! I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long," He says, running up to her. "Did you find what you were looking for?" He gives her a confused look and she clarifies. "Back at the barge." "Oh yeah, I did." "What was it?" "The lucky charm that Marinette gave me," Adrien tells her, going for the charm but finds it wasn't in his pocket. "No, I lost it? Again?" He gives a nervous smile when Kagami presents the lucky charm. "You mean this charm? You know, I lied too. I lied to my mother so we could see each other. I lied to her when she asked about your whereabouts. I lied at every fencing lesson just so we could spend more time together. You know what that makes us? Liars. Except I lie because I want to be with you. You lie because you don't want to be with me."

Kagami says before turning to head inside when Adrien rushes up and grabs her hand. "That's not true Kagami, I do wanna be with you! I love you!" "Then why do you keep lying and running away from me?" Adrien freezes, what was he supposed to tell her? No one was supposed to know he was Chat Noir and (y/n) was the only exception. If anyone else found out the little bit of freedom he had would be gone. "I...I can't say." "See? You can't tell me the truth because you don't want to hurt my feelings so you lie. You go to Marinette every time you run off don't you? You've fallen for her and didn't have the heart to tell me. It would've hurt a lot less if you just told me the truth from the start. We're through Adrien."

Kagami pulls her hand free and heads inside, slamming the door in Adrien's face before he could grab her again. Tears prick Adrien's eyes as he angrily slams his fist against the door. None of what Kagami said was true! He wasn't in love with Marinette, she was one of his best friends. What made her think that? Just because he carried that lucky charm everywhere? Adrien couldn't let this stand he wasn't going to lose Kagami over a misunderstanding like this. Somehow he'd fix it. He rushes inside to find Kagami down the hall and gasps to see she has been akumatized. "No!" He runs out when she starts making a huge ball of light. "This is all my fault, we have to save her! Plagg Claws Out!" After transforming he sends a quick text to (y/n) and rushes in. "Lies! Stop this right now!" "Oh look. Shall we see if this new candidate can pass my new lie detector."

 "I'm not lying when I say I'm gonna free you from Shadowmoth." "I'm gonna help ya!" Jagged exclaims standing between the two. "Get out of here Jagged." "Don't worry I'm an artist and I always keep it real with my fans." "You've lied about your age!" "A world without lies will have no need for superheroes Chat Noir!" Lies claims as she chases him outside.

"Tikki I'm so confused. These riddles Master Fu translated are too cryptic," Marinette complains. After having a good cry we began deciphering the rest of the grimorie if just to destract me so I don't become a victim of Shadowmoth. "The meanings are hidden on purpose to protect the secret of our magic powers," Tikki explains when I groan. "Yeah but what good does it do when not even the guardians understand the meanings." "Master Fu had trouble figuring them out as well but remember you two helped figure them out," Flaake points out and Mari pats me on the back. "Come on we've got this, we'll figure it all out," I nod when my phone buzzes and I check to see a message from Adrien:

Adrien 8:04 p.m. 

Please come to City Hall quick and bring Ladybug! Kagami's been akumatized!

I delete the message and get up. "Looks like Shadowmoth has called for a break. Kagami's been akumatized at City Hall," We transform and head there to find Chat preparing to summon his cataclysm when Ladybug stops him with her yoyo. "Don't! If you touch the sphere you'll freeze!" "Not if I've told the truth." "Yeah but that's not the case here. Remember we're superheroes, we're supposed to and have had to lie," I say as we back away from Lies. "Which means if we touch it, we'll freeze nd it'll consume all of Paris!" LB points out. "So what do we do?" "LUCKY CHARM!" A boxed drone lands in front of us. "Ok, we can't go inside but this machine definitely never lied which means as long as her attention is elsewhere we can send in the spy bird."
