Ephemeral: Part 1

"(s/n)! Any word from Chat Noir?!" Ladybug shouts at me, blocking another shot from Moolack and I look down at my spear phone showing Adrien stuck in an interview about his dad's 100th collection dedicated to his mother. 

"No! He's stuck at a family event and can't get out. We'll have to get some help from the others!"

"Ok, you get Vyperion, Lady Abeille, Polymouse and Carapace. I'll get Ryuko, Pigella, King Monkey, and Pegasus."

"Ladybug I don't think we need everyone Vyperion, Lady Abeille, and Carapace should be enough," I tried to argue but it was too late.

I sigh before collecting everyone, handing them their miraculous before meeting up again and chasing after Moolack. Ryuko attacks with her lightening power but that doesn't seem to stop him.

"Pegasus try to get inside now!" LB orders and Pegasus makes a portal inside the safe before running into a solid wall of gold.

"I can't teleport in, there's no room with all of those coins."

"I don't understand why we're all here. Can't Chat Noir just cataclysm the safe?" Lady Abeille points out and I shake my head and explain.

"His personal life requires his attention so we need to adapt this way."

Having had enough Ladybug summons her lucky charm and a firetruck falls into the street. She quickly explains the plan, using her yoyo to hold Moolack in one place, Plymouse using multitude to distract him. I use my ice powers to create a path for Lady Abeille to go strike him with venom, Carapace using shelter to protect her. Moving the ladder on the firetruck Vyperion heads up to the safe, activates second chance, and tries every known possible combination.

"Jackpot! It only took me a hundred tries," He says excitedly as he opens the vault, letting Ladybug find the one coin and break it, and fix everything. 

Collecting all the miraculous, Ladybug meets up with me and Vyperion in the sewer, him being the last person to collect the miraculous when Su-Han appears, snatching the bracelet out of my hand.

"This really takes the cake. Nine! You used nine other miraculous that wasn't yours or (s/n)'s to defeat a single villain when Chat Noir could've just cataclysmed the vault!" He yells angrily and Ladybug shrugs.

"We had to. Chat Noir was missing."

"What do you mean missing?! You can't just let the holder of the most powerful miraculous just go about as he pleases! What if he started acting out like Shadowmoth?!"

"No! That's not the case. His home life demanded his attention and he couldn't come. That doesn't mean he wouldn't have. Though I do agree about the numbers, we needed three other miraculous holders max." I argue and LB scoffs at Su-Han's last words.

"Chat Noir acting like Shadowmoth? That's far-fetched."

"Not at all, things can happen. In fact, you should know who Chat Noir is so you can have better control over him."

"What?! No way! He's not an object Besides him and I can't know our true identities it'd be too dangerous if Shadowmoth got ahold of one of us," Ladybug argues and Su-Han hisses through his teeth.

"I. Don't. Care! Deal with this or I'll take back his miraculous as soon as he shows a whisker and replace him."

"Calm down! Again this is to prevent Shadowmoth from being able to get ahold of the ladybug and cat miraculous which you should care about! But what if you know the identity of Chat Noir? I know his identity so I can tell you and everything will be good right?"

"How can I know you're not lying? I need someone else to back up your claim."

"I know Vyperion can help with that. We'll have Vyperion confirm it for you," Ladybug responds and I open my mouth to interject when Su-Han speaks.

"That will work. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some things to finalize," He leaves while I roll my eyes, knowing they just steam-rolled the safest option.

"Are we really gonna do this?" Luka asks, worriedly, feeling the tension in the air.

"We don't have a choice in the matter. We can't fight the celestial guardian and I don't want to risk losing Chat Noir..." LB says with a worried sigh when her yoyo rings. "Finally," She mutters before picking it up and telling Chat to meet us at the top of the Eiffel Tower.

"Ladybug what exactly is the plan here if Chat won't tell anyone but you?"

"As you know we can't know each other's identity just as you all can't know ours because then we'd be of no interest to him. But if worst comes to worst another miraculous holder can know Chat's or my identity but not both." Ladybug explains, hiding in the nearby tunnel with me while our kwamiis were fed.

"That way at least one of them will be there to help fight against Shadowmoth."

"But then why does (s/n) know both of your identities? Wouldn't that pose the same problem?"

"Normally yes but certain situations called for us to know each other's identities and though we haven't put it into practice yet or seen if we're doing it right because Su-Han hasn't trained us yet we found a way to block akuma attacks without a magical charm which is why I've also been extremely careful since learning their identities," I explain to Luka before the three of us transform and LB tells us her plan.
