Ladybug: Part 4

"You won't be joking around when I take your miraculous from you!" "Guys cover me!" Ladybug yells out and we do as she runs past Hawkmoth and captures Mayura. I turn toward her with a happy smile, giving Hawkmoth the chance to go for me when Chat Noir pushes me out of the way and gets captured instead. "Checkmate Ladybug," He laughs maniacally as he goes for the ring only to hold off when Chat summons his cataclysm. "Good move kitty. Now all we have to do is have (s/n) grab Mayura's miraculous and it's checkmate Hawkmoth so you better surrender." "If you do that I'll force Chat Noir to cataclysm himself and then I'll have the ring and then I just need to wait for you to turn back into a regular kid. You'll be so easy to break. Don't you try anything either (s/n) or it'll be the same fate."

Hawkmoth threatens us and we both shout, "Release him!" "Release her." "Don't mind me." "Don't listen to him," At the same time Ladybug and Hawkmoth throw their hostages off the building behind them, and with a glare we take off to go save Chat, him Mayura. "You had Mayura, why'd you let her go? (s/n), and I could've dealt with Hawkmoth," Chat protests and I lightly bonk him on the head. "Did you not hear the part where if we tried anything he'd cataclysm you? That's not worth the risk." "Exactly, we care more about you because we're Ladybug, Chat Noir, and (s/n). Ladybug and (s/n) doesn't sound half as cool," He gives us a grateful smile and pulls us in for a hug while thanking us before Ladybug activates her miraculous ladybugs.

The three of us look around for any sign of Senti-Ladybug but she was nowhere to be found, she really was gone... "I guess our bugette wasn't an exception like Uncanny Valley was..." Chat trails off. "The peacock's power can be so cruel when used for the wrong reasons," I mutter and we start to go our separate ways when Chat Noir holds me back. "Wait about what happened at school-" "Yeah, Marinette and I don't have time to try and prove our innocence and if we can't I'll have to go back to my home country and give back the miraculous," I state sadly and he grabs my shoulder reassuringly and gives me a determined look. "Don't worry, that won't happen, I'll take care of it and make sure you're both admitted back into school," I give him a grateful smile and hug him again. "Thank you, you're one of the bestest friends anyone could ask for."

When I get back home, Marinette and I find that we've been summoned back to school so we head there with Tom and Sabine to find Lila wanted to tell the truth. Of course, it wasn't actually the truth but the lie she was spewing was gonna get us back into school. "So because of this rare disease sometimes I can't control things I say. I'm really sorry, you two." "Thank you for your confession Lila, it's very moving. Marinette, (y/n), you will of course be allowed back in school, and your scholarship will be reinstated by tomorrow," Tom and Sabine stay behind to figure out what they need to do while Marinette, Lila, and I waited outside.

"It's like I said earlier things aren't what they seem at first glance. Lila, I don't know why you felt the urge to start all this or why all of a sudden you lied to fix it but I hope this means you're going to turn a new leaf," Marinette tells Lila who narrows her eyes at us. "As you said, things aren't what they seem at first glance," With that, she walks away and we head home where Marinette and I are given our favorite dessert as an apology. Marinette couldn't enjoy hers as she spots the latest news story: Lila was Gabriel Agreste's new muse and was taking photoshoots with Adrien. Poor boy.
