Battle Royale: Part 7

Mya POV

I helped Lady Adjest up and walked her over to the wall so she could rest. We sat against the wall as Iris healed us all.

"So what's going on Lady Adjest?"

Adjest seemed a bit shaken.

"I don't know the full story...but according to Jax he wants you guys to drop out."

I gasped a bit.

"Why??"

"To protect you from someone. I don't know who but Jax seems really scared...I've never seen him like this."

Adjest balled her fist up before standing again.

"I'm going to go help Muji."

I stood up after her and grabbed her hand. She was shaking so much it was scaring me a bit.

"Just sit down. You're in no condition to keep fighting. Plus...you'll probably just get in Muji's way."

Adjest clicked her tongue before sitting down, we could hear the clashing of the two from inside the large dark orb in the sky. I was a bit nervous too but I believed in Muji.

"I hope both of you make it back safe."

Muji POV

I dodged several attacks before going for a counter, punching Jax in the face with a hook. I went to follow up but he dodged it and flipped, kicking me in the face.

I stumbled back a bit but Jax went for another attack with his large dark arm, extending it and punching me back with it. He zoomed over and slammed the fist down on my stomach, causing me to cough up a bit of blood.

I grabbed the arm and threw him back before jumping up and kneeing him in the head. I turned around and kicked him back into the ground of darkness before landing.

I ran over to him and went for another kick, but he rolled over and grabbed me with his large arm. I was slammed into the ground a few times before he threw me in the air, holding his arm out as darkness spikes attacked me from all directions.

I was stabbed all over but I pushed through the pain and removed the darkness. I landed against the wall of darkness before jumping off of it, heading back to Jax.

Jax jumped at me with his large arm, going for a punch. I landed on top of his arm and kicked him in the face, drawing some blood from him. I then slammed down with a punch sending into the ground.

I quickly brought my arms up and blocked an attacked that sent me flying back, I just barely managed to land on my feet.

I looked down at my wrist, seeing it was fractured.

"He's not pulling any punches."

"Muji just back down. I don't want to take it any further than this."

I smirked and spit out a bit of blood.

"You always challenge me to a fight and now that we're actually fighting you want me to back out? Not happening!"

I rushed in and sent an afterimage at him, hiding my presence and changing my route. Jax went to punch my afterimage, leaving himself open, which I took advantage of as I punched him in the face. I went for a kick but he blocked it and grabbed me with his other hand, to which he then slammed me into the ground.

I kicked his chin as I flipped back up and landed on my feet, immediately ducking and dodging another attack from him.

I grabbed his arm with my legs and flipped back, throwing him back. I dashed and slammed my foot into his gut as he hit the wall, causing him to cough up blood.

I grabbed him by his shirt and head butted him, blood trickling from both our heads.

"Wake the hell up. I don't know what you're trying to do, and I won't know unless you speak to me. This isn't like you Jax."

Jax looked at me with his eyes rattling, I could tell he was experiencing a mix of emotions right now. I felt his arm twitch as I jumped back, but not fast enough because he still managed to punch me in the stomach.

I spit up blood and flew back, landing on the ground. I slowly stood up but Jax was already in front of me as he punched me with his giant dark arm. I slammed my foot down to not fall back as I threw my own punch, hitting Jax dead in the chest.

Jax flew back but before he could recover I jumped over and slammed my foot into his stomach, breaking through the floor of darkness.

We began to fall out of the sky but Jax wasn't finished. He yelled in rage as he sent his arm of darkness at me, grabbing me and throwing me into the ground.

I hit the ground with a crash but I quickly brought my arms up as Jax came down with a punch. The punch put a massive crater in the ground and I just barely managed to keep my guard up.

I moved his arm out of the way and gut punched him before throwing him away from me, causing him to land a bit of distance away. I looked down at my arm, it was definitely broken.

"Bastard."

Jax stood back as he breathed heavily, I was as well. My aura was damn near at its limit and I had lots of mana left but my magic isn't something I could just use on another person.

"Especially since I have no non lethal poisons."

I looked at Jax, he was almost out of energy too. Although he was using a lot more than me, and he was using it sloppily too.

"His emotions are unstable so maybe that's why."

I took in a deep breath before charging up all the aura I had left. The ground under my feet began to crack as I got into a battle position.

"Jax! This is all I've got left!"

Jax matched my energy as he began to use all he had left, lunging forward and leaving craters in the ground were we stood. We rushed at each other at crazy speeds that destroyed the area as we moved, both of us going for a final punch.

I suddenly sensed another presence in the area, it felt like everything had slowed down. I couldn't stop my momentum, so I was still ran at Jax, but my eyes trailed somewhere else.

I seen her.

Very large and muscly.

A look of excitement on her face.

"You guys having this much fun without me? Let me join in too!!"

She jumped in between our clash and caught our punches before punching me in the face. I don't think another human being had ever hit me that hard. Blood flew as I found myself flying through the air, I looked down and all I could see was the menacing smile on her face.

"Taylor...Reynolds..."

She was the last thing I had seen before things went black.
