Tom decided he would take me back to the house to get anything I would essentially need for my stay at what would be my temporary home. He decided that he would take me back tomorrow afternoon. The on stretching silence in the car was killing me. I was usually fine with not talking, hell I enjoyed not talking. But the reason for that very silence made me uncomfortable and I wished for him to say something. Anything. I decided I'd say something first.

"Hey... the weathers great right!"

"It's night, Luna."

"Still... great."

"Just get on with what you wanna say."

"You still didn't tell me." He knew what I was talking about.... Why his aunt was here, why she was threatening us.

"There's not much to say."

"Tell me what there is to say."

"She hates me... after what I did."

"What did you do...."

He never answered me, again.

-

I grab all my personal items and head back to the door setting my things down to leave tomorrow. I find Tom standing there.

"It's gonna be fine, Luna. They'll work something out. And if not, then I'll make sure nothing's going to happen to you. I promise."  His words and stare felt so sincere, warmth was spreading inside of me. A feeling still new to me.

"So, don't worry." But it wasn't me I was worried about. Not when he looked so lonely and...broken.

-
I wake up and get ready to spend my last couple of hours in my home before getting dropped off. I find Tom on the couch getting up to leave.

"Where are you going?" I shout from upstairs.

"Out." He replies.

"Wait! Don't just leave me here!"

"Then come with me."

"But... what about the rules." He stares into my eyes, his eyes emotionless.

"I don't give a shit about the rules, I'll just kill anyone who gets in my way. Let's go." I follow behind him.... That was pretty easy.

-

We arrive at a place, it seemed like a day club. Exclusively for the rich. I scanned around the area finding what seemed like very influential people dressed in fancy attire. "I'm definitely underdressed." I say, Tom rolls his eyes. "So what? C'mon let's play around." He says walking towards a pool table.

"I've never played pool."

"Never? Moonlight what have you been doing your whole life?"

"Apparently not playing pool." I say, rolling my eyes. I make my way towards the pool table and get myself situated. I see Tom making his way behind me.

"Oh no, not that again." I say, rolling my eyes. I haven't forgot about what happened two nights ago.

"What? How else am I supposed to show you?"

"Maybe just explain to me in words."

"Hands on experience is the best practice."
