"James, get behind me, close your eyes and don't make a sound."

James did as told. But he squinted so he could see slightly.

Under his hooded eyelid he caught sight of a silhouette walking towards the duo.

Regulus shoved James behind a wall.

"Well well, if it isn't Baby Black, long time no see."

"Don't call me that, I don't have a brother."

'Don't have a brother? What was he on about?' Thought James.

"Oh that's right, the disappointment finally got disowned."

James blood started to boil.

"Luckily, came just in time. You get the honour of killing the blood- traitor."

"Didn't you just say you forgot he was disowned?" Asked Regulus.

"Your mother here didn't."

It all made sense now. That was Regulus' father, his mother was approaching. And that meant the figure beside his mother was.

Sirius.

Sh*t.

"Oh, Sirius." Regulus said, trying his best to hide the anxiety in his voice.

"Regulus." Sirius greeted him.

"Enough of that. Regulus I believe you know what to do."

"I-um."

"Regulus, what's going on?"

"Regulus, just kill him." Demanded Walburga.

"I can't."

"What do you mean you can't?" Questioned Orion is a menacing, threatening voice.

"I can't." Repeated Regulus. "I can't kill him." Regulus explained further.

Walburga raised her wand further and was about to strike.

James felt the world freeze in time.

It was like he was watching from above, like he wasn't in the present moment.

Because he wasn't.
