James and Regulus were making out on James' bed, when they suddenly heard a knock at the door.

They both aggressively pulled away.

"Shit. What do I do?" Whispered Regulus.

"Quick. Under the bed." James directed him, lightly shoving Regulus under. "Just one second, Mum."

Regulus shoved himself under the bed, biting his tongue in attempt to not make any noises.

"Okay, you can come in." 

Effy entered the room, laundry basket in hand, grabbing clothes from off the table.

"I could've done that you know." James told his mother.

"Oh I know you could." She emphasised. "It's just that you don't." She reminded him.

Regulus stifled a laugh, trying to hold make him muffled chuckles.

James rolled his eyes, playfully, clearly having heard Regulus.

Effy caught sight of the grey socks under James' bed.

She crouched down, trying to grab them.

Regulus held his breathe.

She grabbed the first one, placing it in the basket.

She reached around for the second one, unable to grasp it.

Regulus lightly moved it closer to her, and she grabbed it.

She stood back up, "bye Jamsie."

"Bye, Mum."

"Oh, while I'm remembering." She leant back against the door frame. "We have dinner with Regulus and Sirius on Saturday. Please be nice to Regulus, he kind of has a crush on you."

Regulus turned bright pink.

James laughed. "Wow, really. I didn't know."

"Of course you didn't, you boys never know."

Effy finally left the room, and Regulus whacked the bed frame. "Shut up."

James was rolling around with laughter on his bed.
