Regulus's face softens.

"I tried to help you out, now I know that I can't, 'cause how you think is the kind of thing I'd never understand."

They were standing on the astronomy tower, where they first met, where they first kissed.

"Potter..."

"I've made some real big mistakes, but you make the worst one look fine. I should've known it was strange, you only loved me when we were alone."

Regulus looks hurt.

"I used to think I was smart, but you made me look so naïve."

"James, don't do this."

James goes to lean back, falling off the tower.

Regulus runs up, and catches him by the collar of his shirt, saving him.

He pulls him into kiss him.

But as soon as James registers this, he pulls back.

"What the fuck are you doing?"

"I'm sorry, I took the unbreakable curse. I had to kill you."

"Did it say anything about not telling me?"

Regulus's silence answers his question.

"Fuck you Black."

With that he walks off.
