Regulus watched as James ran forward, putting himself in front on the spell.

Killing himself to save Regulus.

Regulus watched in despair as the love of his life collapsed, falling lifeless lay to the ground.

As soon as he came to his senses, he ran up to the corpse and brought his forehead to the chest.

He whispered forms of in denial of this revelation.

"JAMES." Sirius yelled as he ran out, followed by Remus who was too shocked to speak.

Peter watched from afar, smirking amongst the death- eaters.

That bastard.

Regulus stood up sharply, wand gripped tightly. ( that's why voldy lost to harry, he just wasn't holding his wand properly. if you just *break hand*, a lot more room for movement, flexibility, stronger grip... )

"Finally coming to your senses and joining the winning side, I see Regulus." Walburga muttered as he walked by them.

He just shot them a spell, not even sparing them a second glance.

His gaze was fixed on Peter Pettigrew, if that was even his real name.

Regulus pov

Sweat dripped down my forehead, I was exhausted, but that man, that creature, lied straight to my boyfriend's face, my brother's face, my future- brother- in- law's faces, the men he once called his best friends.

He had now joined the dark side and was smirking at the death of James.

My legs felt like collapsing but my mind couldn't stop.

I walked up until I was 3 feet away.

"You. You monster." I yelled, suppressing my tears threatening to fall. I couldn't cry, I had to avenge James.

"And what you going to do about." Pettigrew cackled, evily.

"Arvada Kedarva." I spelled.

A streak of green left my tip, directed as Pettigrew, but instead killing all of those who I had hatred for.

I looked up and saw every death eater had dropped to the floor.

I turned back to face everyone.

Everybody was equally as shocked, staring at me wide-eyed.

Sirius sat there, still gripping his best friend's lifeless hand, looking proud, but still suprised.

Remus just sat there, applauding me.

Soon everyone joined in on the applause.

I couldn't think about that.

I ran up to James, I rested my forehead on his chest.

I expected nothing, but was instead met with the sound of a heartbeat.

I shot up "MADAM POMFREY." She walked out of the crowd, letting go of Minnie's hand, she walked towards us.

She started running when she saw the lifting of his chest.

She muttered spells.

Later

"What happened?" James asked

Regulus rushed to his side, ushering him back down.

"You actually. You actually survived." Regulus asked shocked.

"Why is that a suprise?" 

"Mate, you were 'avarda- kedavra'd', and were in a coma for 8 years."

"Mate? 8 years?"

"That's right. You don't know."

"Don't know what?"

"Me and Remus actually got together, and Sirius is dating Mary. Lily is dating Finnick. We didn't think you'd survive."

"YOU BROKE UP THE TWO BEST GAY AND LESBIAN COUPLES. YOU MONSTER."

"Aren't we one of them."

James stared at him.

"Oh sh*t."

James chuckled.

"How long has it actually been?"

"5 days." Regulus muttered angrily.

James kissed him all over the face, finally meeting his lips when Regulus cupped his face and brought his lips to his.
