James woke up happy for once. Today was his date with Regulus Black, king of Slytherin.

He went to his wardrobe to try and find his muggle clothes, James insisted on them not wearing formal attire.

He opened the cupboard doors to find his set out outfit no longer there.

Weird.

He looked through his draws. He couldn't find any outfits that he had planned.

"Moony, have you seen any of my outfits."

"No James. Have you checked your clothes rack?"

He went to check his rack. All he could find was a lace dress, with matching gloves.

'Well oh sh*t, there's nothing else' he thought to himself.

He went into the bathroom, to return shortly after.

The back of the dress was floor length, with the front being up to his knees. It has lace on the edges, and red jewels.

'Kinda looks good, I could get behind it.'

After grabbing his wand and wallet, he walked out of the common room.

He got stared at by 1st and 2nd years, and applauded by every other year. Some other 6th years catcalled him, to which he blew a kiss and yelled "sorry, I'm on a date."

He arrived at the Slytherin common room, where he was meant to meet Regulus.

"Hi Reg!"

Regulus just stood there, flustered.

"-I- I um- I like men. Oh sh*t, I mean-."

"It's okay Reggie, I like men too. Want to go?"

"Yes." Regulus walked up and James grasped his hand, kissing his knuckle. "So what's with the outfit?"

"I have a feeling your brother, my Siri, had something to do with it."

"Probably expecting you to cancel on me."

"But why would I do that?"

Regulus smiled, and became even more red.

They talked for the rest of the walk until they arrived at three broomsticks.

"I'll take 2 butter beers please." Requested James.

Regulus went to grab his wallet, but was stopped by James.

"What are you doing?"

"Paying?"

"No way."

"Yes way." He continued to grab his wallet.

"Too bad. I'm paying, end of story, I asked you out, I'll pay."

"Not really. I did kind of ask you on a date."

"Nuh-uh." Pleaded James.

"You stood there awkwardly, stuttering the words 'will you- w-w-will y-you.' " Regulus mocked him. "Until I said 'will you go on a date with me?' "

"Great speech and all, but I've already payed." James confessed. Regulus looked away from James' freckled face, to see that he had already given the bartender a 10 galleon note. "Shall we go find a seat then?"

"-Fine." Regulus huffed.

They found their seat, and sipped their drinks.

"So, why did you ask me on a date?" Asked James.

"Because I wanted to go on one with you, and you wouldn't man the f*ck up and ask me yourself." Replied Regulus.

"Skipped passive and went gay to agressive I see."

"Well why did you ask me on a date?"

"Because you're cute, nice, mysterious, hot, funny, sarcastic, hot."

"Said hot twice."

"-And hot, because you are."

Regulus couldn't deny the blood pooling in his cheeks. "You are too."

Now both were sitting there, blushing insanely.

"So..." James said, to fill the silence.

"So."

"Want to go to honeydukes?"

"Sure, I do have to stop by the quill shop though."

"What happened to the one you were using in the library?"

"I snapped it."

"Why?"

"Out of joy."

"Why were you happy enough to snap a quill?"

"Because you asked me out."

"I thought you asked me out."

"Oh- shut up."

James chuckled. "We have arrived, c'mon." James grabbed his hand, and lead him into the store.

Regulus was yanked around the store, for the occasional stop to look at the sweets. James grabbed 2 months worth, which he insisted was necessary for their dorms needs.

Regulus grabbed a couple fizz- whizzes, and went to go check out.

"Why'd you only get that?" James questioned, leaning with his hip against the counter.

"All I needed."

"Boring."

Regulus chuckled. Before James could stop him though, he placed a 20 galleon bill on the counter.

"Hey, what, that's my job!" James said, semi- loudly.

"Too bad." Regulus spoke, copying James' words from earlier. He couldn't stop himself and broke out a smile. "To the quill shop now." Regulus then grabbed his hand and skipped his way to the store.

James smiled out of joy, and skipped behind him.
