I know those questions are coming even though they have never come before.

***Flashback***

"Come on S don't be such a slutty buzzkill." Kayla whined at me.

"What the hell about this makes me a slut?" I snapped back at her.

"Nothing it just does. You're just a slut."

"Bitch." I mumbled at her.

"You love this bitch. Now come on."

"Fine." I stomped in my heels.

***End of flashback***

"I think this is it!" My mother announced as I entered the kitchen to get my coffee the next morning. I glanced up at her and stopped walking.

"Why hello...Blair Buzzby is that really you? Is my mom back?" I joked. She finally looked like herself again. She had her hair in her signature neat bun, crisp clean work attire, and her makeup was delicately painted on her ageless face.

She huffed out a breath, "It is so good to be back." She smiled and took a long drink from her cup. "Tonight I will be all caught up, meaning I have finished the work the last asshole left." She rolled her eyes and I stifled a laugh at her name calling.

"Does that mean you will now be home at a reasonable time?" I asked watching the milk turn my coffee into the shade of Beyoncé.

"Depends what you think reasonable is?" She made a cringing face. "Technically I still have the overtime, this was just the extra work and the overtime. That is what killed me." She sighed as if she started to remember. "Latest I will probably get home would be nine, but I will most likely be home earlier probably more like seven."

"That's not terrible." I nodded slowly as I drank. Even though she has been doing overtime and the extra work...I can't forget what happened that night...what I saw. What I witnessed. I can't forget that and think that this job just happened to fall into her lap. No it couldn't of...it was served to her by the man with the silver cuff links. "I probably won't see you till Saturday, I got school work then plans with my friends." I finished my coffee.

"Actually I'm leaving early tomorrow morning..."

"What?" I turned on my heel.

"I booked a spa weekend up north. Just a few hours away." She smiled cheekily. "Will you be okay by yourself for the weekend?" She asked and I was stunned. "I'll be back Sunday afternoon." She added quickly.

"Oh, spa weekend..." I thought deeply. I was surprised she would leave me for a whole weekend and only tell me about it twenty-four hours before.

"I'll leave money for food, I just...", she looked at me apologetically, but pleading as well, "I need this." She smiled weakly.

"No of course." I nodded. "You worked hard this week you deserve it."

"Thank you, hun. I'll see you Sunday afternoon."

"Bye Mom."

I don't know why I didn't use that chance to tell her about Frostee and the gala. It's not like I have told her anything in advance before...I just don't want her to react like she did that night after my date with Frostee. Granted she was jobless then...maybe she won't care now that she has a job again. I shouldn't worry too much about it she will be gone anyway.
