She is Not Who You Thought She Was

Chapter 48/Sportsmanship

"Because you seem to be oblivious every other time." He wasn't looking at me when he said that but I was looking at him. I dazed at him. Every other time? What does he mean by that?

"Frostee and Spine!" The man that called after Frostee before announced over a megaphone.

They were far out and I turned my attention to the tracks but still had my mind on what Rock just said. Frostee told me to watch him so I need to pay attention but I'm standing too close to Rock to focus on anything else, especially after what he had just said.

"Hey, Trix!" I called after her and walked away from Rock. I walked up to her and she nudged me. She was at the bottom of her bottle noticing how far she had to tilt it back to get any type of booze in her mouth.

"What's going on?" She asked quietly since Enrique wasn't too far from us.

"Not sure." I admitted. I know that Roxy likes Enrique, but from what I can tell she also seems to fancy Calvin. Bellatrix only hummed at my answer and we turned our attention back to the tracks.

The engines roared across the field making an echo inside the redwood tree grove. What looked like the same girl as last time rose her hands and then dropped. I watched Frostee's Mustang race off and then drift on the turn.

"How many laps do they do?" I asked Bellatrix as she screamed.

"Three!" She yelled distracted by the racers.

Frostee was racing a white Nissan Z and I was excited to see the results because even though a Nissan Z can't beat a Mustang -especially if Frostee is driving- it was definitely putting in a lot of effort.

"Go Frostee!" Bellatrix yelled next to me as she put a fist in the air and jumped.

Others around us yelled his name and some others yelled out Spine the one driving the Nissan Z, but most of the audience called out Frostee's.

The third lap was almost finished and Frostee won handsomely as Spine was still only on the third drift because Frostee left him in the dust on the second lap.

"Yeah! Frostee!" Trix yelled smiling brightly with a jump. I smiled looking at her and shouted a 'woohoo' along with her. She seems to enjoy this more than me. It's not that I'm not into racing it just doesn't get me as excited as it obviously does for Trix.

I watched Frostee get out of his car after Spine finished and they both shook hands showing good sportsmanship. Frostee slightly shook his head moving his bangs barely out of his green eyes. I watched him as he searched the crowd. I didn't wave or anything even though I knew he was most likely looking for me. Once his green eyes locked on my blue ones he smiled wide. The corners of my mouth turned up and I blinked as I stared at him.

"Well, that was a long talk..." Trix's words pulled me out of the long stare I was enjoying. I glanced towards Calvin and Roxy as I assumed that had to be whom she was talking about. They were smiling with small laughs as they walked back. I furrowed my eyebrows suspiciously and quickly looked towards Enrique to see if he noticed their friendly exchanges.

"Sure was..." I trailed off. Enrique did not look furious, but he sure as hell did not look happy, he was very suspicious.

What is she doing?

"It was good to see you again." I hear Roxy mumble. It was hard to make out, but I did my best to listen in even though I knew I shouldn't.

"Yeah. I hope I can see you again." He paused, "as friends, of course."

"Of course." Roxy answered.

Liars.

Roxy waved and Calvin watched her with a grin. Once Roxy got close to us Calvin took a few steps backward and walked off to stand with Rock who I noticed was staring at me with a knowing look. A look that told me he was thinking the same thing:

They're lying.

"How'd it go?" I asked knowing the answer already.

"Um...good." Roxy fiddled with her fingers and then looked up at us. "He understood and said he wasn't upset..just disappointed." Roxy giggled. "We are going to remain friends." One side of Roxy's lips curved up.

"Well, that's good. At least he isn't all pissed off and a fight didn't break out." Trix opened a second beer. "Although I would have enjoyed the entertainment." Trix joked with a small smirk.

Roxy rolled her eyes and waved as she went over to Enrique. He put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her into a big kiss being blindly obvious he was jealous. Maybe not jealous but showing Calvin that Roxy is his. I felt like I was watching a movie and I know Bellatrix felt the same because her eyes watched between the three of them just like me. Calvin glared at Enrique I'm sure out of jealousy and annoyance. They agreed to be friends, but how long is that going to last? That is what I'm most curious about.

"So..." Frostee came walking up to me. "How'd I do." He held his arms up as if presenting himself.

"Well you won," I tilted my head with a playful grin, "so I'm guessing pretty good." Frostee nudged me because of the playful compliment.

"Amazing as always Frostee." Trix gushed.

"Thanks." He blushed.

Wait a minute. He blushed. How cute. I smiled like an idiot at him. He is so cute. I am becoming impatient too. When is he going to ask to be exclusive? I am a little jealous he is blushing from another girl's compliment even if it is just Trix.

"Nice run." Rock was suddenly standing next to us. I squinted my eyes. What is he doing?

"Thanks..." Frostee answered slowly. I watched them but caught Calvin looking at Roxy again. He needs to quit staring before Enrique has had enough and does something that everyone will be affected by.

"Have you ever done anything like this before Harvard?" I asked Calvin.

"Huh? No...cooties." He said with a teasing grin. I know he hasn't done anything like this, but he needs to stop stalking Roxy. It's my fault he is obsessed with her.

"Maybe you should try it?" I suggested not seriously because I knew his answer would be no.

Calvin tilted his head at me making his blonde hair sway to the side and stared at me as if he found out something. Nobody said anything and I glanced at Frostee and Rock. They looked at each other with stitched eyebrows then back at me.

"What?" I asked no one in particular.

"Um... no offense Scarlett...but you're not really my type."
