"I-"
All of a sudden the lights flickered on. Rock looked up but didn't move his hand. I was frozen in place. I stared at him wondering what he was going to do next. His hand dropped and he leaned back into his seat.
What was he going to say? I...I what?
He picked up his pencil and finished copying down the last problem.
"I should go home before your mom gets back." Rock states flipping his packet back to the first page. He stands and I close my eyes tightly.
"Yeah...Wait how do you know my mom isn't home?" I asked as he started towards the front door.
"Because my dad isn't."

I couldn't fall asleep after Rock left. Was that what he was going to say? That he should leave before my mom gets home. I don't understand him. I thought he was going to kiss me. However, I could never allow that. I have a boyfriend. One that I care for very much.
But I don't love.
Not yet...Maybe I will one day. I really like Frostee, but...he doesn't...he doesn't make me feel paralyzed in the way Rock does. I really shouldn't be comparing them when I am in a committed relationship with Frostee.
Was my mom with Mr. Chase all night. Was she doing the unthinkable? I don't know who she is without my dad. It could be possible she is having an affair with Brandon, but I don't want to believe that my mother is capable of that.
"Are you getting up honey?" My mom called out. I looked at my clock.
Shit it's already 7:30.
"Yeah I'm just about done." I lied.
I stripped and quickly dressed in a basic outfit. I ran a comb through my hair and grabbed my jacket on the way out of my room.
"Hey," I started as I entered the kitchen, "My phone broke yesterday I'm going to get a new one."
"What happened?" My mother asked pouring more coffee in a togo cup.
"Dropped it in a puddle." I explained simply.
"Okay honey." My mom gave me a couple bills and I stuffed them into my pocket.
"Also I'm going to Thomas's after school today." I told her as I walked out to get to the front door.
"Aren't you forgetting this." Blair waved my packet at me. "Was on the table when I came home."
"Oh..." Moments of last night flash through my head, "Yeah thanks." I snatched it and ran out the door.
What the fuck was that last night? I want to forget about it...not because it was bad...but because it was good.
Rock needs to stop fucking with me.
I picked up Trix and Roxy this morning. Roxy looked like she was at twenty-five percent instead of the zero percent she was yesterday. We all rode in silence until we arrived and I cut the engine.
"Did you guys finish the tutoring?" Trix asked. I knew she was drowning in the silence.
"Yeah, it was only a one-week assignment." I answered as we walked to the front doors.
