Trigger Warning: Physical and Verbal Abuse 18+

I just wish I could go back and fix things.

***Flashback***

"Shut the fuck up." Kayla said then proceeded to grab a fist full of my hair and drag me into my bedroom as I had no choice but to follow or my hair would be ripped out. She threw me inside and slammed the door.

"What the hell Kayla!" I touched my hair at its roots.

"I said shut up!" She yelled. I'm surprised she didn't push me up against the wall and try to choke me.

"What's wrong with you?"

"What's wrong with you!" It wasn't a question, "I begged you not to tell anyone and you reported it to the police. You think if I could I would of!" She screamed at me.

"That's why I did it for you." I explained. "They assaulted you, Kayla!" I exclaimed.

Thankfully my mother was still at work so she wouldn't overhear our screaming fest.

"Did you not listen to a word I said." She scoffed running a hand through her blonde locks. "I never said 'no'." She told me again.

"That doesn't matter you didn't want them to do it."

"My feelings don't matter!" She yelled at me pointing to her chest. "When this all goes down they will get away with everything and I will lose everything!" She kept on getting closer and closer. I backed away only a little bit each time. "My family is in the public eye, you dumb bitch. You don't have to worry about that type of thing because you are a fucking ugly piece of shit that nobody cares about!" She then grabbed ahold of my shoulders and shoved me against the vanity that was behind me. I stumbled and almost fell to the floor after the impact, but was able to grab ahold to the side of the table. The vanity shook aggressively as multiple things crashed onto the floor.

"H-How...dare you Kayla." I licked my lips quickly and stood back up. I can't believe her. She had no hint of remorse, guilt, or regret in her face. She meant every word."I just wanted to help you." I whispered and its only answer was silence. "How are they going to get away with it?" I asked genuinely because I still didn't understand.

"I didn't say no Scarlett." She shook her head at me. "I said please. Over and over again. I never said please no or please stop." My eyes moved from her blue ones to the ground.

I guess I didn't listen to her well enough. I did fuck up. I just wish I could go back and fix things.

My phone started to ring breaking the silence.

"It's my mom." I announced. Kayla just watched me.

I answered the phone and put it up to my ear.

***End of Flashback***

As Frostee searched for a parking spot I noticed we were in a shopping center area with a reasonable amount of restaurants and coffee shops as well.

"I don't think I've been here before..." I trailed off as we got out of the car. We had found a parking garage and parked on the second level. "Where are we?" I asked as I waited for Frostee to lock his car.
