Bellatrix and I suggested watching stupid romcoms, ordering pizza, and eating ice cream, but Roxy refused, saying she just wanted to go home and sleep until tomorrow morning. We were worried about her, but we knew Roxy...she would come to us when she was ready.

Walking out of Ebony, the wind hit me like a ton of bricks. It hit my phone right out of my hand.

"Shit." I mumbled and found it in a muddy puddle. The weather had gotten worse since this morning.

I picked it up, water dripping off and out of it like Niagara Falls. I checked the screen and it was cracked. I tapped the screen aggressively. It's dead. Gone. I'll have to ask my mom for money to buy a new one. I can't text or call her. It'll have to wait until she gets home tonight. I only hope no one tries to contact me until I get my new one.

Once I got home, I ate and did all my homework, including the packet. It took me forever, but at least I'm spared the emotional energy it would take to do it with Rock. Feeling bored and tired, I decided to do a long, slow night of self-care. You know, like face masks and bubble baths. Probably something Flora does every night. I enjoyed soaking in the bath, but got out quicker than usual. I didn't quite feel comfortable sitting in a tub of water during a thunderstorm. I changed into a nightgown that I got a couple of personalities back. It was a blood-red velvet nightgown that was pretty short. It had holes on the sides above the hips, displaying some skin. It is probably more of a lingerie piece than just a little nightgown, so I paired it with the petite long-sleeve robe. The top of the gown shaped out the breasts with noticeable seams and added lace trim atop the breasts. I felt like I had just officially entered womanhood, even though I'm already twenty. The first time I wore this, my boobs hadn't even come in yet, although now that is not the case. I had to squeeze my fully grown breasts into the small space.

I wrapped the robe around my shoulders loosely and entered my bedroom from the bathroom. I looked for a book to read since I didn't have my phone and didn't feel like watching TV.

All at once, the lights shut off. I looked around, barely able to see my hand in front of my face. I stumbled to the light switc,h switching it off and on over and over. I left it on in case the power suddenly switches back on. I went down the stairs carefully to find the flashlights, which were nowhere to be found. They might not even be unpacked yet. I grabbed the taper candles off the dining table and lit them both. I brought one up with me and left the other one downstairs for my mom in case the power is still out when she gets home.

Once I got back upstairs, I picked a mystery novel I had read before. Spoiler alert: the husband did it.

They must have banged several times before it woke me up. What time is it? I groaned as I rolled over. I grabbed my phone, but then remembered it's useless now. I tried the lights once more, but there was no luck. Still...no power. It must be my mom at the door. The garage door won't work if the power is out. I struggled down the stairs because of the candle's low light, and I was still half asleep. The rain pounded loudly against the windows and roof, along with the lightning and thunder striking every few minutes. I rubbed my eyes before opening the door.

Soaking wet and hiding a shiver from the cold rain, Rock Chase stood outside my front door.

"Wh-What are you doing here?!" I shouted over the storm. I still had no idea what time it was. The lightning struck and thunder crashed suddenly, and I shook subconsciously. I'm not scared of lightning or thunder, but the noise was loud enough to startle me.
