I don't know what the hell I was thinking. Even if I wanted him to know all about my 'business' I can't tell him. I'm not going to talk to Rock about how I broke up with Frostee. That is what girlfriends are for, so Flora invited Bellatrix, Roxy, and me over to use the hot tub again.

"Hurry up it's freezing!" Trix yelled at me as I crossed the street to get to the Chase's front door. Trix bounced on her feet while Roxy stood shivering next to her.

"You didn't have to wait for me!" I exclaimed as I made my way up the steps.

"Flora is a mutual friend, I can't handle that type of social anxiety." Roxy told me seriously with a nervous chuckle. I rolled my eyes playfully and rang the doorbell.

"Oh my god come in." Flora swung the door open immediately. She was bursting with thrilling anticipation.

"Oh hi." We rushed inside. "Where is Monseir Yves?" I asked as I walked deeper into the entryway.

"Called in sick today." Flora shrugged and tilted her head momentarily.

I nodded slowly looking to the side and locked my eyes with Rock. I was not expecting to see him. Maybe because the last time he was gone when we all came over, but I felt totally uncomfortable with him crashing our girl's night.

"Hi." I whispered and pulled the hem of my oversized shirt down to cover my bare thighs a bit better.

"Hello, princess." Speaking at the same volume, he grinned with a sparkle in his hazel eyes. He didn't even glance down his eyes stayed locked on my face respectfully. "Why are we whispering?" He leaned down towards my face. I looked away from him embarrassed.

"Ugh go away!" Flora shoved Rock away and linked her arm to mine. "It's girls only, that also excludes twin brothers." Flora gave him a playful squint. Rock shook his head lightly and backed up another step.

"Of course." He walked across the entryway with his hands up in a fake surrender.

"You have to tell me about the juicy gossip you've kept secret all day." Flora said too loud and it took everything in me to resist the urge to look back at Rock.

"Does this mean you will stop coming to the drag strip?" Trix asked me timidly.

"Honestly, I don't know," I answered, "I might have to stop going for a few weeks. It's Thomas's turf. I wouldn't want to and shouldn't invade his space."

He loves racing...I would be rubbing salt in the wound to show up only a week after our break up.

"That's a bummer. It will suck going alone again." Roxy said sinking lower into the tub and she blew bubbles.

"Was the sex bad?" My eyes widened and we all went silent. "What?" Flora shrugged. "I'm just wondering if it was because of the sex being bad. You guys did have sex right?" I tried to maintain eye contact but failed.

"No." I said under my breath.

"No?" Trix asked. I lifted my head and stared at her before taking my chance to look at everyone else's expression. They were mostly surprised and...sad?

"I mean we did some stuff but we never exactly sealed the deal." I shook my head lightly. "We broke up before getting too far." I explained with hand movements splashing the water gently.

"I think that's good actually." Flora nodded with an approving smile.

"Yeah, I agree." Roxy gave a short smile.
