Roxy arrived a few moments later with Enrique following behind. We made our greetings. Roxy and I introduced Frostee and Enrique to each other. They immediately hit it off then continued their conversation in Spanish so I tuned them out.

"Yeah since it was all recycled I was able to save loads of money." Bellatrix described to Roxy and I smiled at them.

I'm so proud of Bellatrix. She is stupendous. She says she doesn't know what she wants to do after graduation, but I'd say she has a pretty good start with this unexpected talent. Not that I didn't expect her art to be bad, but damn seeing it in a professional gallery...It belongs here.

I wandered off leaving everyone to themselves so I would have a chance to explore the rest of the gallery to see if anyone had anything better than Trix...I doubt it.

Stopping at a photograph of a small girl that was unattended by the artist I studied it intently. The girl had dark blonde hair and a big purple daisy placed behind her ear and she glanced up into the camera with big blue eyes. The sunset shone onto her face making it hard to see the background or have any indication of where the photo was taken. I wondered who this little girl was. Is she a real model? She looks no more than six.

"They are beautiful. Like yours." My body shook at his voice. I turned slowly to the man.

"Mr. Chase." I breathed.

"Her eyes I mean. Big and blue." He wore a relaxed smile.

"Uh thank you." I felt it hard to take my eyes off him, but he looked at the photograph for another moment before looking at me again.

"I didn't know that you and my son had become acquainted." Brandon started.

"O-Oh no I wouldn't call it aquainted. We are just lab partners." I shook my head excessively. He hummed and nodded slowly and pursed his lips as he studied me like the photo in front of us.

"Well, I just wanted to make sure you knew." He nodded. My eyebrows stitched together momentarily. He looked past me as if prepared to make his way to the next art piece.

"Uh...knew what sir?" I asked before he could step away.

"Knew that you are both acquainted...with each other." He gave me a satisfied wicked smile as if he knew more than he was letting on. I stood frozen.

"Scarlett, how are you darling?" Wenna came up to me and grabbed a hold of my hands, a polite and friendly greeting.

"I'm doing very well Mrs. Chase, thank you. And you?" I smiled sweetly acting as if Brandon was just another painting on the wall. I could practically feel his body heat increase with annoyance.

"Fantastic thank you."

"Well, you have put together quite the night for everyone." I compliment her.

"Why aren't you a doll." She smiled wider and glanced over at her husband who forced a smile. I raised one eyebrow and sneered at him before Wenna looked back at me.

The fact he thinks he can intimidate me makes me want to burst out laughing. He caught me when I was unprepared once. It won't happen again.

"Rockwell won't you stay and accompany Scarlett." My breath caught in my throat as I hadn't noticed him until now. I was too busy flattering his mother.

Rock's eyes darkened as he stared at me and we both took in each other's appearance. Rock's chocolate hair was styled beautifully just like his father's...Rock wore it better, way better. I let out a long breath. He wore dark jeans with a black turtle neck. Over the turtle neck was a wool burgundy slim-fit long trench coat with a lapel collar, and went to his mid-thigh. The coat made him look taller than usual. He had one hand in the coat pocket and the other he held his phone. He was dressed to the nines. How is it that he can wear sweatpants, or a leather jacket, or this and be able to pull everything off? I've never been jealous of him, but the fact that we are no longer anything more than partners gives me the right to hate him. At least for his incredible sense of style.
