"Frostee." He pulled away from me and turned to see the voice. I opened my eyes and spotted Rock standing in the door frame.

"Rock? What are you doing here?" Frostee asked, but he didn't seem surprised.

"Buzz." He greeted me. He licked his lips then turned his gaze back to Frostee, "Jefe wanted me to pick up his car." Rock stated and Frostee kept his hand on my thigh. "You know where the keys are at." Rocks pressed his lips into a thin tight line. I couldn't quite decipher his attitude. He seemed frustrated? Annoyed? Whatever it was, it was not a pleasant emotion.

"Right." Frostee slowly slid his hand down my thigh until his fingers fell off my knee. "I'll go get it." Frostee walked off and through the door behind the counter. Silence blanketed the room and I felt super awkward. Not because Rock caught us kissing, but because he knew we would be here and he showed up, conveniently may I add. Rock was looking at his phone and what looked like texting someone. He put his phone in his pocket of his jacket and leaned on the door frame and looked at the door Frostee disapperared into.

"What are you doing here?" I crossed my leg over my knee and leaned back on the counter supporting myself with my palms.

"To pick up a car." He stated only flickering his eyes to mine.

"Today? At five-thirty? Now?" I said hoping each question hit him like a dagger in the chest. I smiled, a devilish smile.

"Yes baby girl." He smirked. "I just couldn't wait. I had a burning desire to watch you two making out on top of a mechanic shop's counter. " The second he finished he looked daringly into my blue eyes. Rock's reply had sarcasm dripping off his words. I was the one with the daggers in my chest now.

"Well it is quite convenient timing asshat." I said trying to keep the growl buried in my throat.

"I would say unfortunate." He grimaced at me. I frowned. "So," he started crossing his arms over his chest and I started to get irritated with how long Frostee was taking to get the keys, "figure out his age yet?" Rock teased.

"Hasn't given me any indication of it." I lifted my chin lightly. "Not even a clue to how I could figure it out."

"Really?" Rock stared at me intensely. "I find that...surprising." He didn't say it mockingly he actually said it like I was missing something. That Frostee must have said something that would point me in the right direction to how old he was. Rock stood up straight and the door opened behind me. I kept my eyes on Rock hoping his eyes would be the answer to Frostee's age.

"Here." Frostee hung the keys out for Rock to take. Rock extends his hand to grab them but Frostee takes them out of reach just before he can take them "Tell Jefe...ya no quiero hacerlo." Rock's eyebrows raised for a split second and he hummed as he took the keys from Frostee.

"You'll need to tell him yourself Thomas." Rock backed away and left. The entire atmosphere changed. It was a coating of terror and...sadness? Grief? Frostee's head fell for a moment and I looked away.

What the hell just happened?

The ride back to the school was silent and super awkward. Even more so for me because I had no idea what they were talking about or saying for that matter. I really should had taken Spanish my first two years of high school instead of French. Maybe I could enroll in Spanish class late. Frostee didn't seem to feel the awkwardness I was drowning in. It was as if his eye brows had been sewed together in a furrowed state. He parked next to my car in the parking lot. There was one or two cars left in the parking lot and my cherry red mustang was easy to spot.

"Okay well...goodnight." I said as he seemed like he wasn't even present.

"Red." He called me by his nickname he gave me.

"Yes." I said a bit eagerly as I didn't know he was going to say anything else.

"I had a really good time." He finally looked at me and his green eyes filled with sadness. My eyebrows knitted together.

"Blue?" I called him. He almost looked like he was on the verge of tears. He swallowed thickly.

"I'll see you next time. Goodnight." He turned away and I took that as my cue. I got out of his car and stood outside and watched him drive off.

Next time?

I needed to figure out what the hell Frostee said to Rock or what he wanted Rock to tell Jefe. A slight shiver went down my spine and I got into my car turning on the ignition. I fiddled with the air freshener Frostee gave me while I let my car warm up. I placed it into the seat next to me and quickly put my car in drive and sped out of campus.

When I finally walked through the door I huffed out a breath. One that I had been holding in since this morning. I kicked off my shoes and picked them up to bring them to my room like I had been taught to since I was little.

"You were gone long."

"God mom." I glanced into the kitchen and she leaned in the door way wearing a yellow blouse and jeans. "Lurk much."

"Where have you been?" She asked ignoring my comment.

"Didn't know that I was suppose to start reporting to you." I said as this is the first time she has ever asked about my whereabouts.

"Well maybe you should." My mom crossed her arms over her chest. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. She was trying to act like a strict parent. I turned my face away for a moment so she couldn't see my expression.

"I was out with a friend." I replied looking back at her hoping that was good enough.

"Let me know next time you aren't coming straight home from school."

"Why should it matter as long as I come home at a decent time?" I questioned. Blair scoffed as I talked back to her.

"It matters because I need to know the whereabouts of my daughter."

"Whatever, I'm going upstairs." I groaned.

"Make sure to get a dress for tomorrow night." My mother called after me.

I put my shoes in my closet and decided to pick my dress for tomorrow while I was in there. The 'walk in closet' was a must when it came to my wardrobe. Having a new costume for each year, meant a new wardrobe for each year. I went to the section of my variety of dresses and skimmed through the dresses. Homecoming, prom, galas.

"Oh I remember this one." I grabbed a dark blue stain slip dress. It was a cowl neck with thin straps to tie at the top of the shoulders. The fabric gathered on the side making it even shorter than the mini dress already was. "That was a good night." I smirked.
