" I thought you'd be grateful your girlfriend helped you out."
Hae

" She's not my girlfriend_ I know what she might have said but her brother is the father of my kids and I'm only related to the Himura's through them, I want nothing to do with that family..."

Anele was emotional, she took a deep breath to calm herself. When she handed in her resignation at the restaurant she was surprised that Kyoko accepted it without any questions asked but did not think much of it till now.

" It's not as black and white as Kyoko makes it seem. There'sa lot of bad blood between her and my family but this is not the time or place."
Anele

" So there's nothing going on between you and her?"
Hae

" No, we dated in this past but that's in the past but she helps me out with the twins because she asked to do it. I don't know why she did all that earlier."

Anele thought nothing of her question and did not notice the relief on Hae's face as she confirmed there was no relationship between her and Kyoko.

" I can't continue to work here because of the past we share."
Anele.

" I understand but you can't make such a decision from a place of anger, just go home and think about it calmly and clearly."
Hae

Even though she was the CEO of the company, Kyoko owned it and when Kyoko finds that Anele has resigned, she will be mad and an angry Kyoko is unpredictable.

" There's nothing to think about, ever since they_"

Realising she was about to tell her total stranger her life story, Anele paused to calm herself. In the few weeks she has been here, Hae has been good to her and very nice but she was still her boss and her personal matters were that, personal.

"...I just don't want anything to do with them. It's worse enough that I have to deal with them because of the twins."
Anele

" Don't quit for the sake of the twins. I'm sure you need the money."

Hae realised her words might have not come out right when Anele's hand went to her hip as her upper lip curled up in irritation.

" That didn't come out right."

An irritated Anele pushed her as she walked past her and out the boardroom. For the rest of the day Anele locked herself with her work in her office, ignored personal and professional calls from Hae and Kyoko. As soon as the work day ended, she went into Hae's office and dropped the work she had given her earlier with the resignation letter.

" I'm not accepting this."
Hae

" I'm still not coming back tomorrow."

Hae stood up for her chair and walked around her desk to stand in front of Anele, who had taken a few steps away from the desk as soon as Hae stood.

" It's company law to give notice a month ahead before resigning and we don't allow immediate resignations."

Hae explained with the contract in her hand.

" Read the fine print."

Anele could not believe her eyes. It was written in black and white that two months notice was required for a resignation and resignation with immediate effect she had to pay back the money already paid to her.

" I worked hard for that money!"

Anele exclaimed.

" It's company policy."
Hae.

" Company policy my foot, when did this happen. I read the contract and no one mentioned this during orientation."

Anele was livid.

" Well we've never had anyone resign before, I didn't know about it too till I contacted HR to ask about my role when somebody resigns."

Anele could believe that they have never had anyone resign because Hae was a great leader and cared very much for his staff. He treated every one well and she noticed this in the first week as an employee.
