Anele had mixed emotions when she woke up to a text from Bai telling her that she no longer wanted space but was officially ending their relationship. Anele understood that kissing Kyoko hurt Bai but she didn't think it would hurt so bad that Bai would decide to end their relationship, Anele felt she needed an explanation and tried to call Bai only to find out she had been blocked. she tried to send a text but it would not go through.
" You're a coward Bai!"
she cried out in frustration, throwing her phone onto the bed. Anele couldn't believe that Bai had ended their relationship in such a cold manner, without giving her a chance to explain or even talk things out.
" Oh gosh!"
Feeling a mix of anger and despair, Anele paced around her room, her mind racing with unanswered questions. Had their relationship meant so little to Bai? Was kissing Kyoko really enough to break their bond? Why couldn't Bai have just confronted her about it like adults?
As the tears streamed down her face, Anele realized that she couldn't accept Bai's abrupt decision without closure. She needed to understand, to hear Bai's side of the story and express her own feelings. With determination, she picked up her phone once again, vowing to find a way to communicate.
" I'm going to be late for work."
She mumbled to herself when she noticed the time on her phone screen as she attempted to call Bai again. Wiping her tears she rushed into her twins room to get them ready for the day. Thanks to the Himura's, she now lived in a three bedroom apartment in the affluent area of the city. The twins preferred to share a bedroom though. They gave it to her as a gift for birthing them their grandchildren and had the twins enrolled in one of the private schools the Himura's owned.
" Aunt Koko is picking us up today mommy, she'll get us ready."
Dae groggily said, she was speaking about Kyoko and the doorbell rang before Anele could reply. Her grief forgotten, Anele rushed to the front door and opened up for Kyoko. Kyoko noticed her sombre expression and asked her about it, Anele told her.
"I'm so sorry, Anele. That's really tough but if she doesn't have the heart to end a relationship with you face to face then don't waste your tears on her."
Anele sighed, feeling grateful for Kyoko's support. She wiped away the remaining tears from her face and nodded.
" It's funny that I'm crying to you, the reason behind all of this."
" She never deserved you anyway. There's nothing wrong with us sharing a kiss, she should've been woman enough to tell you the real reason behind her ending your relationship but then again I'm glad she ended it, so I can pursue you without any disturbances."
Kyoko replied
Anele was at loss for words. Kyoko chuckled before saying
" Go get ready, I'll see to the twins."
As Kyoko helped the twins get ready, Anele quickly freshened up and got dressed for work. Time was running out, and she couldn't afford to be any later than she already was. With a heavy heart, she said goodbye to her children and Kyoko, who had offered to drop her off at work.
" I'll bring you lunch."
Kyoko
" There's no-"
Anele tried to decline, she figured it was best to stay away incase Bai changed her mind about them. She still very much loved Bai, even though she had kissed Kyoko.
" You didn't take lunch, I'm bringing it. Plus I've got a meeting with your boss before that."
Anele reluctantly agreed and headed into her work building. Her day was so busy that she forgot all about Bai and Kyoko, till her boss called her to join her for the meeting. Anele grabbed her belongings following her boss into the boardroom.
