When Anele received a text from her friend Minnie, she was not aware that she still had Bai blocked. Minnie had texted her that Bai would like to have lunch with her at a certain restaurant and asked her to do it since she was blocked on Anele's phone. Hence she was currently waiting in a restaurant fifteen minutes away from her place of work, anxious about why Bai wanted to see her.

" Hope I didn't keep you waiting."

Bai said kissing her cheek before sitting down on the chair opposite to her. Anele noticed she looked different and seem to have more tattoos.

" No, I haven't been waiting long."

The waiter came along and Bai ordered for both of them, with Anele's consent. Their drinks were the first to come. They had both ordered juice since it was in the middle shelf f the day. Anele had asked permission from her boss to take a longer lunch.

" I hear you've been looking for me, what's going on?"

Anele went straight to the point, she still had to go to work and she did not want to waste time with meaningless conversation.

" Straight to the point, you must really want nothing to do with me."

Anele sighed.

" Bai like I said when I texted you, I've got to get back to work."

" I miss you."

" If this is what you called me over for I'm leaving."

Anele made a motion to leave but Bai held her wrist stopping her.

" Don't go please, I'm sorry."

The waiter returned with their food and Anele sat back down.

" You lucky I'm hungry."

Bai smiled reminding her of how food always put her in a good mood. One thing she loved about Anele was her love for food because she loved food too and they would spend weekends together visiting farmers markets just for the variety of food there.

" How well do you know your girlfriend and her family."

Anele was taken aback by this question but replied she had met Kyoko in high school in eight grade and dated for almost three years before the incident. Bai listened attentively while eating her food.

" Why do you ask?"

" Did you know that they took the twins to be tested if their bone marrow would match with Kenji's?"

" What?!!"

Anele was stunned.

" My partner_ my ex partner told me a few months back that she saw Dae and Dara at the clinic with Kyoko, Kenji and their parents, the twin's grandparents in this private clinic she works at."

Anele could not believe what she was hearing.

" Apparently the clinic she works at is a high society haematology clinic and they came after hours. It seemed suspicious to Mera that they would be there without you."

" I've never met your girlfriend, except for that one time I saw you with her and it was just a side profile. I couldn't pick her out if a line up if I had to, maybe she has the wrong kids. There's no way she could know my children."

Bai sighed placing her utensils on the table, her food was almost done, and leaned back on the chair. Anele noticed she looked guilty but she dismissed it because there was no reason for that.

" Mera met them one time when I picked them up from school while I was with her."

" We're we together at the time?"

Bai was surprised that she would ask her that after what she told her but she replied yes.

" Were you seeing her while we were in a relationship together?"

Bai silently nodded her head yes, she was not proud of that part of her life especially since she prided herself in being faithful.

" You ain't shit!"

With that Anele grabbed her bag, threw money on the table and left.
