Kenji walked into the huge building and headed straight for the reception, after exchanging pleasantries he stated his business and the receptionist picked up the phone informing someone of his presence. He waited for five minutes before, to his surprise, Anele came out of the elevator. Anele smiled at him.

" Good day mister Himura, you may follow me."

Kenji was surprised, his sister, Kyoko, had not only placed Anele's children in a hood school and great house, she had given Anele a job. Kenji chuckled, Kyoko really made sure to show Anele how " good for her" she is, thought Kenji.

" How are you Anele?"

Kenji tried to step to Anele, who stood in front of him, making sure to keep a distance from him but she stepped away. Anele was now standing right at the door of the elevator, he stepped back afraid that her position might cause harm to befall her if anything happened.

" I'm good thanks sir."

" You know you don't have to fear me, I'm not going to hurt you_ again. I've changed a lot from the dumb guy who raped you."

Kenji noticed her body tense from the mention of the rape.

" This is a place of work sir and I would appreciate it if you kept things professional."

Kenji watched the side of her face as she spoke without turning to face him. He smiled at how the side of her resembled their five year old twins, the only good thing that came from that night he forced her.

" Okay but I want to say don't hesitate to ask me for anything, wether it concerns you or the twins. I messed up back then and I know you say you've forgiven me but just know that I realise my wrong doing and if I could I would undo everything that happened that night."

The elevator opened and she walked out in front of him, Kenji noticed her teary eyes when she looked up to see if he was paying attention when she directed him into the boardroom.

" Ane-"

" Mister Himura they're waiting for you."

Kenji nodded, understanding that Anele didn't want to discuss the past any further. He followed her into the boardroom where several executives were waiting for him. They greeted him warmly and began discussing business matters. As the meeting progressed, Kenji couldn't help but notice Anele's efficiency and professionalism. She was clearly excelling in her role.

" Why couldn't I just be a normal person and be honest about my feelings for her."

Kenji thought to himself. After the meeting concluded, Kenji approached Anele again. Hae noticed and asked Anele if she would be fine. Hae did not know their history but knew how ruthless the  Himura's could be. Plus she had noticed how Kenji kept his eyes on Anele the whole meeting.

Anele assured Hae that she would be fine and thanked her for her concern. Hae nodded and left the room, leaving Kenji and Anele alone.

"Thank you for your assistance today, Anele. You did a great job,"

Kenji said sincerely.

Anele nodded, still avoiding eye contact.

"Thank you, sir. I'm just doing my best."

Kenji took a deep breath, gathering his courage.

"Anele, can we talk? I know it's been years and I can never make up for what I did, but I want you to know that I'm truly sorry for everything."

Anele finally turned to look at him, her eyes filled with a mix of pain and uncertainty.

" Not that I don't accept your apologies but the aftermath and the fear of that night stayed with me. I can't just simply forget."

Kenji nodded, a somber expression on his face.

" Well, I'm here for you if you ever need anything and I'll do everything I can to ensure the twins are taken care of."

Anele's eyes softened slightly.

"Thanks, it'll take time for me to let my guard down, if that's even possible."
