" Excuse me for not bringing it earlier I got held up in another meeting."
Anele stood frozen with shock when Kyoko handed her a brown paper carrier with the name of a very expensive restaurant written on it, she could sense the inquisitive eyes her in the boardroom. She wanted to slap Kyoko but just as she thought this was the most embarrassing thing ever, Kyoko kisses her forehead. Whispers could be heard coming from everyone present for the meeting, it was mostly the heads of each department but she knew that by the end of the business day, everyone would know about this.
" My apologies, I forget about my surroundings when I see her."
Kyoko apologised but Anele knew she was not being sincere but making sure they knew they had history. Afraid to look at her colleagues, Anele took her seat in between Miss Geun and Kyoko.
" You seem to know each other very well?"
Kyoko sensed that Hae Geun was not happy about this but ignored her and smiled while staring at Anele, who had yet to lift her head from her files. Kyoko knew she was probably mad at her but it was worth it, people needed to know that Anele is part of the Himura's.
" She's the mother of my kids."
Anele's head shot up at the same time there was a unanimous gasp from the attendees. The shock dissapeared from her colleagues friends as soon as realisation hit and they all smiled at Anele. Who was oblivious to what was happening as she was staring at Kyoko, wondering what was wrong with her.
" Oh_ I didn't know you had kids..."
Hae Geun said looking at Kyoko before turning to Anele who now had her head back down.
" ... I didn't know your children were, hell I didn't even think you were part of the Himura's. Damn you're technically my boss."
For the second time in less than an hour, Anele turned her head to the side so fast those who noticed feared she would suffer whiplash.
" What?"
She asked with confusion evident in her eyes. Hae Geun turned to Kyoko when she realised she had said too much.
" Uhm _ I have another meeting in an hour can we start this meeting."
Kyoko swiftly changed the topic. While Anele sat thinking about what Miss Geun had said. Her mind was over taken by her. Kyoko knew there were multiple questions waiting for her after the meeting but as soon as the meeting was over she hurried away.
" Wow, I just knew she had to know someone to have been hired that quickly."
One of the women said loud enough for her to hear as they grabbed their belongings and walked out the boardroom.
" Don't mind them-"
Hae tried to console her, Anele turned her chair around to look at her directly, she had a few questions for her boss.
" They are right, right?"
Anele wanted so hard to be free of the Himura's and thought this was the perfect opportunity, the company was not owned by them but her perfect job seemed not to be that perfect.
" In a way_ Kyoko owns the company and she influenced our decision to hire you."
Hae did not know the history between the two and spoke freely. To her there was nothing wrong with Kyoko helping her, even th she did not understand why Kyoko had told their human resource manager to hire Anele when they first got her resumé.
" I'll handover my resignation letter before the day ends."
Anele stood up with her files in her hands and attempted to walk out but Hae blocked her way.
" Wait, why?"
Hae wondered what she could have said wrong. Anybody in this day and age, with how bad the economy is, would be grateful to have somebody like Kyoko helping them out but Anele seemed to be angered by this.
