Her talk with her parents had Anele feeling lighter and free, she had relieved herself of a huge burden that caused her sleepless nights. Out of all people she would expect not to believe her, her parents were the last but she was healing from that. She was looking forward to spending more time with them. They could not make up for lost time but she was going to cherish every moment they had left together. She had a new outlook on life because of the relationships she's managed to mend recently.

" I love seeing smiles on my employees faces, that means I'm doing something right."

Anele looked up to find Hae standing in between her office doorway with her hands in her pocket, smiling down at her.

" You're so good looking, if only you weren't my boss." Anele thought to herself, she quickly looked away when she noticed she was staring.

" That's because I'm done with most of my tasks today. The only thing left is the upcoming meeting then I can go home."

Anele said with a huge smile on her face.

" About the meeting, it's been moved to four. The clients flight got delayed."

Anele's smile faltered, she has hoped to get earlier. The twins were to return today after spending the last two weeks of the previous month with their father and grandparents.

" I'm sorry."

Hae apologised.

" It's okay."
Anele

" It's lunch time , let's go across the road. I'm in the mood for some prawn curry and company."

Anele's smile returned as she nodded in agreement.

"That sounds great. I could use a break and some good food," she replied.

They both left the office and walked across the road to their favorite restaurant. As they settled down at a booth, Anele couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and ease around Hae. They had always had a friendly and supportive relationship, but lately, Anele had started to develop deeper feelings for her boss.

As they enjoyed their meal and engaged in light-hearted conversation, Anele couldn't help but steal glances at Hae. She admired her intelligence, confidence, and the way she carried herself. Hae had always been a role model to Anele, both personally and professionally.

After finishing their lunch, they walked back to the office, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of the day. Anele could feel that familiar pang of disappointment about the delayed meeting, but she pushed it aside and focused on being productive.

Hours later, as the clock struck four, Anele felt a mixture of anticipation and nervousness. The meeting was finally about to begin, and she had been working tirelessly to make sure everything was in order. She was determined to make a good impression on the clients and showcase her dedication and expertise.

As Anele entered the meeting room, she found Hae already there, waiting for everyone to arrive. Anele couldn't help but notice how effortlessly Hae took charge and commanded respect. It was one of the many reasons why Anele looked up to her boss.

Finally, the meeting concluded, Anele let out a sigh of relief. She glanced at Hae, who smiled knowingly.

"You did an exceptional job. I'm proud of you," Hae said sincerely.

Anele's heart fluttered at the compliment, and she couldn't help but blush. Her admiration for Hae had only grown stronger, and she longed for a deeper connection with her. Anele gathered her belongings and prepared to leave. Hae approached her with a warm smile.

"By the way, I wanted to invite you to a dinner party at my place this weekend. It'll be an intimate gathering with a few colleagues. I think it'll be a great opportunity for everyone to unwind and have some fun," Hae said.

Anele's eyes widened with excitement and delight.

"I would love to come. Thank you for inviting me."

Anele replied, her voice filled with genuine appreciation.
