" Can I help you?"

Kyoko asked Bai when she bumped into her walking into Anele's work of place. Kyoko had attended a meeting with Hae while Anele was out attending to other company business. Kyoko thought she would get a chance to see her too, since last night she failed to go over to her place as she had dinner with a client till late.

" No."

Bai tried to walk past her but Kyoko stepped in front of her blocking the entrance.

" Where do you think you're going?!"

Bai took a step back and tried to walk on the other side but Kyoko quickly stepped in front of her again.

" I think I have the right to walk into any place I want to, now move before I move you."

Bai sneered. Kyoko as usual was not intimidated, she was a Himura.

" As the owner of this building, I have the right to refuse you entry."

Bai stood staring at her for a few seconds and Kyoko understood what she was thinking. Being who she was she could use this opportunity to hurt Bai but then she loved Anele too much to let Bai think of her that way.

" Relax, she got this job on her own merit and only found out I owned the building and company after she began working here."

The stress on Bai's face disappeared.

" She's unfortunately or fortunately a more oral woman than you'll ever be or ever get to meet."

The shocked expression on Bai's face left as quick as it came. Kyoko smiled triumphantly.

" Yeah, I didn't want to hurt her, hence she doesn't know but if you dare try to see her again. I'll give her a reason not to see you and don't forget the Himura's own the land your parent's business is on."

Bai folded her arms in front of her breasts and smiled, she realised her looking for Anele made her uncomfortable. There was something that scared the Kyoko Himura. Bai smiled cockily

" You don't know why I'm looking for her but you're already scared. Why is that miss Himura?"

Kyoko's smile faded as she stared back at Bai, trying not to show any sign of fear. She knew that she couldn't reveal her true feelings or let Bai see any weakness.

"I'm not scared of you, Bai. I'm simply protective of Anele,"

Kyoko replied, her voice steady.

"and whatever your reasons are for looking for her, I can assure you that she doesn't want to see you."

Bai chuckled, a sinister gleam in her eyes.

"Oh, but you don't know what she wants, do you? You think you have her all figured out, but you have no idea what truly lies between us."

Kyoko clenched her fists, her patience wearing thin. She knew she had to remain composed, even in the face of Bai's provocations.

"Anele made her choice, Bai. She chose me. And whatever history you may have, it doesn't change that fact."

Bai's smile turned into a smirk as she stepped closer to Kyoko, invading her personal space.

"You think you can offer her everything she desires? Wealth, power, privilege? How naive."

Kyoko held her ground, refusing to let Bai intimidate her.

"I offer her love, support, and a future. Something you clearly couldn't provide."

Bai's eyes narrowed, a flicker of anger in her expression.

"You have no idea what I'm capable of, Kyoko. Don't underestimate me."

Kyoko's voice remained calm, though her words carried a hint of warning.

"I may not know everything about you, but I know enough and trust me when I say, you don't want to test me Bai."

Bai paused, her gaze locked with Kyoko's. After a moment, she chuckled and took a step back.

"We shall see."

With that, Bai turned and walked away, leaving Kyoko standing there, a mix of emotions swirling within her.
