" Spend the night with me."Kyoko growled into her ear, her hoarse voice filled with desire and anticipation. Anele almost agreed but recalled Bai.
" Koko this is wrong, I have a girlfriend."
Anele said pushing her hand away from under her skirt. Kyoko had lifted her onto the office desk amidst them making out.
" Don't give me that, you weren't thinking about her a few minutes ago when you had your tongue down my throat Anele."
Anele's heart raced as she struggled to catch her breath. She knew Kyoko was right. She had allowed herself to get carried away in the heat of the moment, forgetting about Bai and the commitment they shared but now, with a moment's clarity, she couldn't go through with it.
"I know, Koko, but it's not fair to her or to us. I can't betray her trust like this,"
Anele said firmly, fighting the desire that still burned within her. Kyoko's eyes widened with a mix of frustration and disappointment, but she sat back, releasing her grip on her.
" You should be honest with her and tell her you don't love her like you thought you did."
" I love her."
Anele defended.
" If you truly loved her, you wouldn't have kissed me back so easily and the other day you only pushed me away because you were still angry. If it wasn't that today wouldn't be the first time we kissed."
Kyoko explained with a smug look on her face. Kyoko was confident in the love Anele had for her, she was Anele's first everything after all. Anele's face twisted with confusion and guilt as Kyoko's words echoed in her mind. She had always been honest with herself about her feelings for Kyoko, but she had never fully considered the consequences of her actions.
"No, Kyoko, you're wrong,"
she protested, her voice trembling slightly.
"I do love her, I swear. It's just...complicated."
Kyoko's smug expression wavered for a moment, her confidence momentarily shaken. She had always believed that Anele loved her completely, but the doubts were beginning to seep in.
"Complicated?"
she repeated, her tone laced with disbelief.
" If it's complicated, then maybe you don't love her like you think you do. You can't have it both ways."
Anele's eyes searched Kyoko's face, desperately trying to find the right words to explain her conflicting emotions. She had always thought she had a clear understanding of her feelings, but now she felt lost.
"I don't want it both ways, I want her. This was a mistake."
She admitted, his voice barely a whisper. Kyoko did not expect her to say this but the smug smile stayed on her face. Kyoko felt she knew Anele well enough to know that she would always be hers.
" It's okay, you can tell yourself that. Anything to make you feel better but we both know that you may like Bai but you don't love her, not after how you just kissed me."
Anele wanted to defend her relationship but how could she when Kyoko's words made her doubt her own feelings.
" Look I know you feel indebted to her, I would too if somebody treated me as good as Bai has. I mean she's been there for you for the past three years, helping you with the kids, bills and school. It's understandable but you don't love her like you think you do."
" I gotta go_ uh!"
Anele headed for the door but Kyoko pushed it shut just as she opened it. Anele turned around to scold her but her voice caught in her throat because of the woman in front of her. Kyoko stood tall, towering over her in an all white suit, her jacket was off and her shirt sleeves rolled up to her elbow exposing the art on Kyoko's arms. One arm was above Anele's head pushing the door shut while the other grabbed Anele's waist.
