Aiko commented after Kyoko told her about the incident at the restaurant after she angered Musa.
" I know that."
Kyoko
" You know that but you keep doing the things you do."
Aiko
"Whose side are you on?."
Kyoko sighed, she hated when Aiko was right or made sense and a he hated having to put Anele in such a situation.
" The side that guarantees no harm befalls Anele. That side that doesn't lie to Anele and the side that guarantees that you actually stand up to your parents."
Aiko
" I haven't lied to her, just omitted a few details out and out of everyone I expected you to understand considering everything we've been through together and knowing how the dynamics in our families are."
Aiko sat up from her slouched position.
" I'm sorry if you want me to make you feel better about anything you've ever done to that poor child, I'm not the one. We've been through a lot but I'm grateful that I was absent that day in school."
Kyoko wished that Aiko would have been present that day because she would have stopped her. That day was the only thing Kyoko truly regretted and she regretted it more now that she had seen the trauma it has caused Anele.
" You're not making this any easy. You know why I do the things I do and when it all comes to fruition, she'll understand that I did everything for us. To secure the future for her and her children."
Kyoko tried to explain herself.
" I hear you but does the means justify the ends or whatever they say."
Aiko

Kyoko
" I know that but do you love her children?"
Aiko knew Kyoko was deeply hurt when she found out that Anele had fallen pregnant by her brother and her feelings did not change even after finding out that Kenji had raped Anele because Kyoko resented Kenji.
" You did say anything that is produced from your brother can only be as evil and didn't deserve your love."
Kyoko leaned back on her chair, with her hands behind her head and staring at the ceiling, her tall legs stretched out showing a pink pair of hello kitty socks, Anele had bought her as a joke.
" You still have those?. I thought you threw away everything that reminded you of her after your breakup."

Kyoko looked at her socks smiling. She never owned anything pink till Anele bought her these the night before she spent her birthday at the Himura mansion.
" Well I never threw away anything she gave me, they've just been in my sock drawer since the day she gave them to me. I got them this past weekend when I was at the mansion."
Kyoko
" I still can't believe you kept the rape from me all these years. You know how mad I was at her when you said she cheated on you. I was so mad and disappointed that I would've confronted if I happened to bump into her that time."
Kyoko had informed Aiko that Anele had cheated after she kept pestering her for a reason for them no longer being together and Anele stopped going to their school.
" It's a good thing she stopped coming to school because I would've said things I'd be regretting now."

" You know I'm the reason her parents took her out of school and out of the city?"
Kyoko
" Yeah after you and the others beat-"
" No I told her parents to remove her from the school when they came to my parents to report that I had had Anele beaten and get her far away from me because they'd all suffer if they didn't."
Aiko was left surprised.
