" She's so damn stubborn!"

Kyoko slammed her phone onto her office desk, irritated.

" Just let her be. Give her some time to cool off and she'll probably come around."

Aiko tried to reason with her friend who was clearly in on edge.

" I've lied, kept secrets and broke her trust in me all over again. I cannot wait on her. I have to act now before I lose her for good."

" Kyoko I love you as my best friend but Anele said she's done with you, that means you've already lost her-"

Aeko tried to make her friend see reason but Kyoko cut her off.

" Don't say that! I haven't lost her, she loves me and I love her. Sure I made a mistake but she understands how it works with us Himura's and I had to do as my parents asked or risk losing her. I did all this for her. If I could only find out where she is, then I can explain to her again how sorry I am,"

Her ranting reminded her that Kyoko might be having a maniac episode. She has had one before and had to be admitted in a psychiatric hospital.

" and how if she gives me a third chance, I'll never let my obligations to my family come in between us again"

Aiko sighed, seeing the determination etched on Kyoko's face.

"but what if she doesn't want to hear it? You can't force her to understand your actions, no matter how noble your intentions were."

Kyoko clenched her fists, the tension radiating from her body as she paced the small confines of her office.

"I have to try! I can't just sit around and hope she'll come back. That's not me. I won't let my family dictate my happiness any longer."

Aiko watched her friend, torn between support and concern.

"You're right, it's not like you, but you also need to think clearly. If you confront her now while she's still hurt, it might push her further away."

"Then what do you suggest, Aiko?"

Kyoko stopped in front of her, a blend of desperation and anger in her eyes.

"I can't just wait. I've already lost her once, and I refuse to lose her again."

Aiko crossed her arms, her expression softening.

"Maybe write her a letter? Something she can take her time with, digest at her own pace. You can explain everything without the pressure of an immediate response."

"Would a letter really work? What if she throws it away?"

Kyoko's tone was skeptical, but a flicker of hope glimmered beneath her frustration.

"Then at least you tried, and you'll have poured your heart out. If she reads it and still doesn't want to talk to you, then you'll know it's her decision, not forced by the heat of the moment." Aiko suggested. "It's about giving her the space she clearly needs."

Kyoko sighed deeply, the fight leaving her for a moment.

"I just... I can't stand the thought of losing her forever."

Before Aeko could respond, Kyoko's phone rang. normally she would ignore it but recalled that she has a business meeting with Hae. She answered the call and it was the assistant trying to find out if she was still coming. She was not in the mood for a meeting but as she was about to prospone she heard the assistant cheerfully greeting Anele and welcoming her back at work. Excitedly Kyoko said she would be attending the meeting.

" It looks like she's back at work and did not resign from the company as I had thought. I don't need to write a letter after all. I'm just going to talk to her."

" Don't get too excited, she might not want to talk to you."

"Sure, she might not want to talk to me, but I can't just let this slip away again,"

Kyoko said, her voice tinged with renewed determination.

"I need to show her that I'm serious about making things right."

Aiko raised an eyebrow.

"How do you plan to do that? You saw how upset she was before; do you really think that will help?"

"Maybe I just need to be honest with her,"

Kyoko replied, her voice softening.

"I've danced around things for too long. If I can just tell her how much she means to me, how much I regret everything... Maybe it will make a difference."
