Anele stood up to walk away but an apologetic Kyoko grabbed her wrist stopping her. Anele looked at the hand on her wrist with fear, Kyoko noticed this but before he could remove her hand, Anele swung at her. Luckily Kyoko knew how to duck and Anele was just swinging haphazardly with no specific target.

" Let go of me!"

She cried out as she swung. Kyoko grabbed her elbows to stop her but got scratched on her left cheek. Kyoko pulled her into her chest to restrain her and Anele pushed back, crying out she was sorry and pleading in tears to be let go. Kyoko could tell Anele was not in her right state of mind and it broke her heart seeing her like this. They, the  Himura's had hurt her so much and somehow continue to do so.

" I really need to know your triggers."

Kyoko mumbled as she held her in her arms, after managing to subdue her. They were seated in the tiled floor. Anele wept onto her chest while, Kyoko repeated that it was okay and she was safe. Words Anele would have done anything to hear back then. After calming down and back to reality Anele removed herself from Kyoko's embrace and kept her eyes down. Embarrassed to look at Kyoko.

" I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me."

Anele said with her ears down and her hands fidgeting with the hem of her T-shirt.

" You don't need to apologise, I should have been extra careful and gentle as I know your history. I'm sorry for my outburst and for triggering you."

Kyoko held her tighter as her own eyes were clouded with tears. Anele sensed she was crying but Kyoko held her tighter when she tried to turn. Anele knew Kyoko hated crying especially in front of somebody, she felt crying was for the weak.

" I'm sorry for being the cause for this trauma. I'm sorry for hurting you, for breaking you, for bringing you into the Himura family_ only to destroy your family."

Kyoko was now sobbing uncontrollably and had released her hold on Anele. Who pulled the emotional woman into her arms, after getting over the initial shock of seeing Kyoko cry.

" It's not your fault babe, you couldn't have known that anything would happen to me."

They were now officially a couple.

" I still should've protected you, I should've believed you and not my brother or parents. I should've done better for you. I should've never let my friends hurt you for me. I failed you in so many ways and it's truly a wonder how you are able to forgive me and my family."

Kyoko  spoke in between sobs with Anele listening patiently while she comfortingly brushed Kyoko's back, in an up and down motion.

" Well it's not about me or your family anymore, it's about the twins. I'd do anything for them."

" You're a great mother."

Anele did not respond, she didn't feel like a great mother because there were times she wished she could abort the twins while she was pregnant, there were times she thought of giving them away or drowning them when they were sick or drop them off at the police station when they would cry for no reason at all. She did not feel like a good mother when she had them living in a dangerous neighbourhood. There was a lot she had done that made her feel like she didn't deserve the title of great mother.

" Gosh I don't think I've ever cried that hard before."

Kyoko  startled her from her thoughts when she pecked her lips as she stood up and went into the kitchen to get herself a glass of water.

" I've got to head out, the twins are probably up and asking for me."

" Up? I thought you said they were playing when you left."

Kyoko froze.
