After last night's successful dinner with Anele, Kyoko had a new positive perspective on her future. Anele agreeing to them start over, even just as friends made her so happy, she decided to go apartment shopping. Kyoko already had an apartment but she wanted to buy one for Anele and her twins. First on the list though she wanted to send her flowers just to thank her for listening to her. Kyoko spent the morning browsing through various online flower shops, trying to find the perfect bouquet that would convey her gratitude and appreciation. She wanted something vibrant and colorful, just like their renewed friendship.
" What are you doing?"
Aiko asked walking into her office and slumping into the couch in the office.
" Looking for flowers."
Kyoko replied.
" Who died?"
Kyoko turned to her friend with her eyebrow raised, wondering if she was serious.
" They're for Nene."
Aiko stood up from the couch with a smile on her face, stood next to Kyoko and crouched over so she could see the computer screen.
" Forgot y'all are mending your relationship, wonder what Bai thinks about this. Can't wait to see her face when she finds out that Anele actually forgave you."
Kyoko would also like to gloat to Bai but she did not want to do anything that would jeopardise her relationship with Anele.
" What are we getting her?"
" I am going to find her the perfect bouquet, I don't know about you."
Kyoko said grabbing her keys and slipping on her blazer. Browsing through her computer was not helping, so she decided to physically find a florist.
" I'm coming too."
Finally, they stumbled upon a small boutique flower shop tucked away in a corner of the city. The shop had an enchanting display of beautiful roses, lilies, and daisies. The fragrance and the sight of the colorful blooms instantly captivated Kyoko, making her feel even more determined to find the perfect flowers for Anele.
" These are expensive. How can something that doesn't even last a month cost so much."
Aiko complained but Kyoko ignored her. She approached the friendly florist behind the counter and explained her intention to send flowers to her friend. The florist, impressed with Kyoko's thoughtfulness, listened attentively and began suggesting various options.
After considering different combinations, Kyoko settled on a bouquet of vibrant sunflowers with accents of purple and white daisies. Sunflowers represented happiness and joy, while the purple and white daisies symbolized friendship and innocence respectively. It felt like the perfect blend to express her gratitude and joy for their renewed connection.
As Kyoko paid for the flowers, the florist carefully arranged them in a beautiful glass vase and tied a delicate ribbon around it. She couldn't help but smile, knowing how delighted Anele would be to receive such a thoughtful gift.
With the flowers in hand, Kyoko hurried back to her apartment. Not sure what to write, she simply penned: " Thank you for last night." After sealing the envelope, Kyoko immediately arranged for the bouquet to be delivered to Anele's doorstep. She hoped the surprise would brighten Anele's day and also serve as a reminder of their newfound friendship.
As she sat back and admired the vase of dazzling sunflowers, Kyoko couldn't help but feel grateful for the positive turn of events in her life. The dinner with Anele had not just brought them closer but had also given her a renewed sense of purpose and the determination to create a happy future, not just for herself but for Anele and her twins too.
Now, with flowers on their way to Anele, Kyoko couldn't wait to start their apartment shopping adventure. Finding a perfect home for Anele and her twins would ease the guilt she has experienced since finding out the truth.
" Don't you think you're overdoing it?"
" No I'm trying to make amends."
Anele will see that she's sorry, she will appreciate it.
