Meanwhile, Kiri and Tsireya are relaxing under some rocks to keep dry in their favorite peaceful place. Tsireya is propped against a wall with Kiri laying on her shoulder and playing lightly with the ends of her hair.

Tsireya- I love when it's just us.

Kiri- Because when we're with the boys everything goes to shit?

Tsireya- (laughs) Yes. I mean I love the guys, but damn.

Kiri- Every time we turn around one of them has another problem. It would be simple if we could just help them.

Tsireya- Yeah . . .

Kiri is quick to notice the change in Tsireya's tone. She leans up and looks at her.

Kiri- What is it?

Tsireya- Rotxo. We had no idea he had a condition like that, he never told us. But, suddenly here comes Lo'ak knowing all about it. Like what the fuck? He doesn't even like him.

Kiri- Knowing my brother, he probably pried when he shouldn't have. I really doubt someone like Rotxo would just expose that to him.

Tsireya- Yeah, you're right. Sorry, I'm just shocked is all.

Kiri- It's alright. Unlike the guys, you know how to voice what you're feeling.

They both laugh lightly.

Tsireya- For real, though, if they used calm words of reason there would be way less fighting.

Kiri- Right, they're so quick to just start yelling or swinging fists.

Tsireya- Now that I think about it, I wonder if they even know what the fuck they feel besides anger.

Kiri snickers, and Tsireya joins in.

Tsireya- I mean really. When they joke, sometimes they just look mad as hell and you're like "They're playing right?".

Kiri's snickers turn into full laughter.

Tsireya- Don't even get me started on roughhousing. I don't even try to figure out that shit.

Kiri doubles over, holding her stomach as she cackles on, gasping every few seconds. Tsireya watches her with a laugh of her own and decides to let the girl calm down.

Once she sits up, leveling her breathing, she finally joins in the conversation.

Kiri- I almost forgot to tell you . . .

She takes one last deep breath, making Tsireya laugh.

Kiri- I actually had fun with Rotxo. You know, before the whole landslide situation.

Tsireya- Really? What did you guys do?

Kiri- We just swam around, doing tricks and going through the coral.

She looks up at the sky as she begins to reimagine the beautiful scenery.

Kiri- He was really happy too, I was shocked, but glad I got to see it.

Tsireya- What'd you guys talk about?

Kiri- Honestly, nothing. I mean we had a brief conversation about how I swim, then he taught me a trick, but other than that, nothing.

Tsireya- Wow, you bonding with Rotxo. I'm proud, but jealous.

Kiri- (laughs) You know the craziest thing about it?

Tsireya- What?

Kiri- He didn't curse once.

Her eyes widen with disbelief, making Kiri giggle.

Tsireya- That's a whole damn lie and you know it.

Kiri- No, I'm serious! Look, it shocked me too.

Tsireya- Damn, maybe he does like you.

Kiri- No, I'm pretty sure he doesn't.

Tsireya- Why the hell else would he hold his tongue like that with you?

Kiri- I could be wrong, but, I think it's more about respect.

Tsireya- Then he must have no fuckin' respect for me whatsoever 'cause we curse back and forth all the time.

She begins to laugh once again, but calms herself before it gets out of hand.

Kiri- Don't worry, you two are way closer than he and I will ever be. We have more of an acquaintanceship, but you two act like siblings.

Tsireya- No wonder I hate his damn guts.

Kiri- (laughs) You don't act that way with Aonung.

Tsireya- That's different, Aonung's a sweetheart. Rotxo's the biggest asshole I've ever met.

Kiri- He doesn't seem so bad now.

Tsireya- Try asking him for help when he's better, I guarantee he'll tell you to fuckin' deal with it yourself.

She laughs, softly this time, as she leans back onto Tsireya's shoulder. Tsireya puts her arm around her and plays with her hair.

Tsireya- It's pretty late.

Kiri- I don't wanna go back home.

Tsireya- I don't really want to either. I just want to enjoy our peaceful solitude.

Kiri- Then let's just sleep here tonight.

Tsireya- I don't know. Staying away at night like this might worry Aonung.

Kiri- Didn't he do that same shit?

Tsireya- Oh damn, you're right. Nevermind. Fuck him, we're staying out here.

She chuckles lightly, then they both enjoy their peace, not yet going to sleep, but admiring the sky together.

Tsireya is beyond happy to share the moment. It seems so trivial, since they've done it many times before, but sitting and enjoying each other's company now is different in many better ways. For one, she doesn't have to worry about Rotxo stealing Kiri away from her anymore.

From Tsireya's perspective, there's no better feeling than a mutual one.
