the ultimatum

'Are you making lucy aware of our meeting?'

He woke up before Lucy..he just kept having dreams about these kids who are apparently his...dreams about him being a dad to them..he's always wanted to be a dad. He rubbed his eyes and turned over to check the time on his phone. It was nearly 5:30 in the morning. He groaned and sat up against the head board and rubbed his hands on his face then glanced at Lucy who was still softly snoring tucked up next to his thigh. He felt really shitty for keeping her in the dark.

He picked up his phone and read the message again..he needs to get to the bottom of this. So he taps the keyboard on his phone and puts together a response.

hey ash..uhh wow this is a lot to process and take in. As much as I do believe you I do want to do a paternity test to make sure they are 100% my children. I am sorry to hear about Jerry..your dad, he was a great man and I looked up to him. Can we meet up sometime for a coffee, I'll drive up to you..bring the kids or don't. I don't want to make any decisions yet, not until i know what's going on. Thanks.

He presses send and stands up to take kojo on a run to clear his head before going back to trying to enjoy his day off with Lucy.

He returns from his run at 6:45 and he takes off kojos leash and kojo toddles off back to his bed. Tim then walks back into his shared room with Lucy and as he was walking in Lucy stirred and got up, she rubbed her eyes and Tim and Lucy softly smiled at eachother.

"I thought we were lying in today" Lucy asks softly yawning.
"oh..yeah..I just took kojo on a run, I'm wide awake now" Tim smiles softly sitting at the foot of their shared bed and takes off his shirt and sits against the head board with Lucy and he cuddles up into her.

Lucy sits up and kisses him and pulls away.
"okay. You smell. And you are very sweaty...so why don't we head for a shower" Lucy winks at Tim and chuckles. Tim eyes darken and he picks Lucy up and they head into the shower together, Tim completely forgot about the situation with Ashley at this very moment in time.

They got out the shower and Lucy was sat drying her hair and getting dressed for the day while Tim was making both of them breakfast.

He was about to put the meat free bacon on the stove for Lucy as his phone pings..it was a reply from Ashley.

He took a deep breath as he unlocked his phone and read her reply.

'Thanks for the reply..I sort of thought you weren't going to answer. My father thought highly of you and he was really proud of you when you made the jump to metro. Anyway of course you can do a paternity test, Tim I haven't been with anyone around that time when I fell pregnant except you..so please go ahead and do one. I am free tomorrow, if that's good for you?'

Tim read the message twice before replying his body was shaking..
'I'll just call in on a personal, I'll be there tomorrow just send the address over for a coffee shop to meet up in and I'll grab paternity tests from the labs at the station. Thanks.'

Ashley replied straight away which made him awfully nervous
'Okay. Thanks for agreeing to meet, can't wait to see you after this long. Are you making Lucy aware of our meeting?'
Just as Tim finished reading the message Lucy walked into the kitchen all dressed for the day, Tim immediately put his phone down and put Lucy's bacon on the stove thinking about Ashley's question.

"hey baby" she says hugging him from behind, Tim smiles softly and turns around and hugs Lucy fully "hey Luce" he mumbles into her hair.

"oooo what you making it smells great" Lucy asks peaking past Tim
"just bacon and sausages and pancakes, don't worry all yours are meat free" Tim smiles.
"yum" Lucy smiles and kisses Tim and Tim kisses back, he doesn't think he's going to tell Lucy...at all.
