the ultimatum

DA wesley evers

Tim was took out the hospital and he was about to get put into the police car until he pulled away.
"look just give me a minute-" Tim starts and the officer shakes his head
"mr Bradford, I read your file you used to be a Sargent, you should know how this works- stop resisting arrest or I'll add that to your charges" the officer demands grabbing Tim's arm again and shoving him into the car.

Tim shakes his head, ashley is such a dick!
they drove him to San Francisco police department, got his mug shot taken and finger prints done, and got him processed into a cell.

"Get in" the officer shoved Tim into the cell, Tim rolled his eyes and put his head in his hands..from when he was an officer he knew it was stereotyped as the husband being the 'abuser' so he probably had no chance talking himself out of this.

He sat there just overthinking about Ava, thinking about Lucy, missing Lucy and hating Ashley. An officer finally came to interview him. "Come this way."the officer says opening the cell.

Tim comes out and follows him into an interrogation room, he sits down and gets cuffs onto the table. He looks around the room and sees multiple cameras.

"I am officer Jason- badge number 1244 I am interviewing Timothy Bradford- ex Sargent at mid Wilshire division.. You do not have to say anything. But, it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence...do you want a lawyer" the officer says to the recorder.

Tim thinks for a moment.."yes get me a lawyer" Tim agrees fidgeting with his fingers
"Do you have a contact?" The officer asks
"DA Wesley Evers." Tim says hoping Wesley will take his side.

"We will be right back" the officer says walking out the room.

Angela and Wesley were sat at home eating after Angela came in from her night out, until Wesley's phone started calling
He picked it up and answered it
"DA Evers" he answers
"This is officer Jason from San Francisco station, our suspect Timothy Bradford has requested you to be his lawyer" the officer explains, Wesley's jaw dropped and he looked at Angela and walked out the room.

"What's his charges?" Wesley asks
"Child abuse and domestic violence" the officer reads out and Wesley shakes his head
"That's not right, he would never.?" Wesley says shocked and he hears the officer sigh
"we need to be proven wrong, he's looking up to 14 years in prison" the officer says and Wesley sighs
"okay. I'll book a flight down to San Francisco I should be there in a few hours" Wesley says and hangs up.

He sighs what the fuck?! Wesley was speechless, he rubbed his hands over his hair and stresses.

Angela comes in "everything okay?" She asks
"Yeah. I'm needed down San Francisco for a client " Wesley says walking off to change into his suit and booking flights.

Angela comes upstairs and goes up to Wesley "your lying to me" she says
"I am."Wesley sighs regretfully
"What's going on?" Angela asks
"I can't say" Wesley says looking down
"Wesley Evers" Angela snaps
"Tim's in trouble, he's requested me to be his lawyer- you are not coming with me and you are not going to tell Lucy" Wesley demand as he pays for the next flight on his phone.

"What kind of trouble?" Angela panics
"Trouble that can get him sent to prison for 14 years" Wesley states as he packs a bag.
"gosh.."Angela covers her mouth in shock
"Do not tell Lucy!" Wesley snaps and Angela nods and promises.
"He deserves whatever's going on" Angela states crossing her arms
"accused of child abuse and domestic violence?" Wesley raised his eyes brows
Angela's jaw dropped "as much as I hate Tim he would never do that" Angela states and Wesley nods.

"I know. Look my flight is in an hour I have to leave now..I should be back tomorrow. Do not tell Lucy" Wesley says giving his wife a kiss and leaving with his brief case and bag.

He goes to the air port and boards his flight and off he goes.
Tim was placed back into a holding cell until Wesley came

Avalynn was taken in for an MRI, Ashley and arlo was waiting in the children's waiting room.
"Mommy you got daddy in trouble" arlo crosses his arms.
"Mommy didn't,  daddy hurt avalynn" Ashley says
Arlo frowns "daddy did not! You did!" Arlo shouts, Ashley grabs his hand and squeezes it really hard "ow mommy off!" He says
"Not until you shut that mouth not yours" she growls and arlo frowns.

The doctor came in "miss mcgrady, your daughter has suffered from a grade 3 severe concussion..it'll take her several weeks to recover..she will suffer from more frequent headaches, slurred speech, decreased motor skills..but we want to keep her in for a few days to monitor and make sure she doesn't have anything more severe..we will prescribe her a small dose of pain meds for her head aches, we need her to stay away from any light and take it easy- no excessive excise..just lots of rest she's really lucky miss mcgrady this could of been a lot worse" the doctor explains
"Has she woken up yet?"  Ashley asked

"Yeah she woke up not too long ago, you can head through" the doctor says
"Thanks so much doctor, come on arlo" arlo follows Ashley and brings one of avalynns teddys with him.

They go into the room, it was dark.
"hey Ava baby" Ashley sat down, avalynn slowly turned her head and she was scared
"G-go away mommy!" She slurred.

"Ava I got you a teddy bear" arlo gives avalyn a teddy she smiles "thanks"

"where's daddy?" She asks sadly looking around the room.
"Mommy got him in trouble" arlo crosses his arms and Ashley frowns at him "no I fucking didn't" she snaps
"Ow mommy shh, my head" avalynn complains covering her eyes
"Oh I don't care brat" she scoffs.
"I want daddy" arlo sulks sadly

"well he doesn't want you" Ashley says rolling her eyes
"ywes he does, mommy why you always mean to us" arlo frowns
"i am not, you are just horrible children" Ashley's snaps back
"Me want to live with daddy" avalynn butts in and Ashley disagrees.

Wesley got off the plane and got a cab to the station, he enters and heads straight to the desk.
"Can I help you?" The officer asks at the desk
"I am Timothy Bradford lawyer" Wesley states and the officer at the desk nods and signs Wesley a visitor pass and sends him on his way.

Tim was took into an interrogation room just before Wesley came. Wesley walked infront of the interrogation room that Tim was in and looked at the arresting officer
"Those cameras better be off, and no one goes into the observation room, I need a private word with my client" Wesley demands and the officers nod.

Wesley takes a deep breath and braces him self before walking in
