the ultimatum

i can't believe it

"I can't believe it" Lucy says staring at the strong two lines on the positive pregnancy test with watery eyes.
"I know it's so exciting, you're going to be a mom" Angela jumps happily and Lucy smiles.
"I'm already a mom..well it feels like it anyway" Lucy says softly and Angela stops in place and looks at Lucy.
"I see the twins as my children even if it's not biological, they are still mine." She replies and Angela nods.
"Course they are Lucy! You've been more of a mom to them than Ashley has ever been!" Angela says softly.

Lucy glances back to the test and sighs "this is..I don't even know what to say, I can't wait to tell Tim" she says wiping a stray tear.
"When are you telling him?" Angela asks smiling with happy tears.
"it's Father's Day in a few days..and I have a few ideas..I'm going to get the twins involved" Lucy says and Angela smiles brightly and jumps on her feet again
"I'm just so fucking happy for you! I'm so glad everything is great! Like ahhh" Angela says dragging Lucy in a hug over the moon for her and Tim.

"Your practically suffocating me Angela" Lucy muffles in Angela's shoulder, Angela pulls away "oh yes don't want to kill you before mini Chen and Bradford arrives" Angela rolls her eyes jokingly.
Lucy stares at her and places a hand on her heart pretending to be offended.
" I was kidding! Anyway you seen a lot happier than you were like 10 mins ago"Angela comments and Lucy smiles
"Because of your wise words Angela. You brought sense into me..also hormones" Lucy says and the two women laugh.

"when are you going to get a scan and appointment with a OB-GYN?" Angela asks and Lucy shrugs
"I'll just book one for some time before Father's Day" Lucy says and Angela stops her.
"I can get you an appointment first thing tomorrow, and all medical bills will be covered as it's my OB-GYN. She's amazing Lucy trust me" Angela says pulling her phone out and messages someone.
"Great! Thanks Angela" Lucy says gratefully.
"I've messaged you the address of the clinic, go on get home to your boyfriend and kids" Angela says giving Lucy one last hug.

Angela walks lucy to the door "congrats momma! tell me how your scan goes tomorrow" Angela says watching Lucy walk to her car.

Lucy gets home..well to Tim's house. Lucy's there all the time she may as well move in, but Tim and Lucy never spoke about that yet.

She walks into the house and it was quiet, it was around the kids bed time by the time she got home so she sort of gathered that tim was getting them ready for bed, she tip toes to the twins room to find Tim, arlo and Avalynn all tucked up in arlos bed, their snores filling up the room.

There was a book in Tim's hands, he must of been reading them a story but then drifted off, the view infront of Lucy made her heart swell. She pulls her phone out and takes a few photos and walks towards them giving them all a kiss on the head. Lucy didn't want to wake Tim up as they all looked peaceful.

She turns the light off and goes to heat up some left overs, her back was killing and so was her feet. But she knows she's got to get used to it.
She then gets ready to go to sleep.

The next morning Lucy ended up puking her guts up again, but this time Tim didn't hear her as he was asleep in the twins bed.

She cleans her self up and heads into the kitchen to make her self some toast and a nice warm tea. She sits on the counter eating and Tim comes into the room.
"morning sleepy head" Lucy laughs and Tim comes over to Lucy and pulls her in for a hug and a kiss.
"You feeling better?" He asks softly remembering yesterday's events.
Lucy sighs softly "yeah, sorry for being all grumpy" she replies.

"Hey it's alright" he says pouring his coffee.
"What time did you get in anyway?" He asks sipping it and Lucy shrugs
"around 9ish, you were already asleep in the twins bed. You all looked so peaceful I didn't want to wake you" Lucy says softly and Tim nods.
"You can't of been doing paperwork that whole time" he stares confused why Lucy was out so late.
"Oh yeah no, I was out with Angela..sorry I should of messaged" she apologises again, sipping her tea
"Not a problem, you're here now" he shrugs and gives Lucy a kiss, the coffee smell made her feel nauseous.

She sits still and takes a few deep breaths hoping it'll pass and luckily it did.
Tim stares at her concerned "you okay babe?" He asks and Lucy looks at him and nods
"Yeah sorry" she chuckles awkwardly.
"Okay..well I'm going to shower and get the twins up and dressed" Tim says walking off.

"Hey Tim" Lucy shouts and he turns to look at her.
"Yeah?" He asks.
"I'll take the twins to preschool, I have a doctor's appointment so I'm not going to work until later. So you can just head straight to work" Lucy says and Tim frowns but nods.
"Is everything okay? Do you need me to come with?" He asks softly, Lucy couldn't fall anymore in love with him.
Everything is fine.

"Yeah just a general check up you know, no you head straight to work" Lucy replies and Tim nods.
"okay babe, love you" he says before showering.

Tim showers and leaves for work, Lucy gets the twins ready and sits them down for breakfast, she made them a quick and easy cereal.

"so you guys, I have a big secret. But you can not tell anyone, especially daddy" Lucy says softly and the twins widen their bright blue eyes and become excited
"What is it miss lucy?!" They ask clapping their hands.

"You can't tell daddy okay?" Lucy says pulling her pinky out to make them pinky promise.
"Pinky ppromise!!" They say and clock pinky's with Lucy.

"okay...well you guys are going to be a big brother and sister" Lucy tells them and they both smile.
"How?!" Arlo asks happily, I'm not going to fucking tell you how, Lucy thinks then laughs to her self.

"Me and your dad are having a baby,there's a baby in my belly" Lucy points and rubs the small not very noticeable bump, the twins look at her confused.
"Did you eat a baby?" Avalynn asks and Lucy bursts into laughter.
"No, no I didn't" Lucy cackles at the twins innocence.

"Does daddy have a baby in his belly too?" Arlo frowns and Lucy had to take a few deep breaths trying to hold her laughter..telling two toddlers you're pregnant is the funniest thing ever.

"No just me..I'm growing a baby in my belly- you guys are going to be a big brother and sister" Lucy explains again, the twins seemed very confused, and intrigued

"like a plant?" Arlo asks and Lucy sighs
"Yes like a plant" she rolls her eyes but then laughs honestly she didn't know how to explain it to them, hopefully Tim could help when he finds out on Father's Day.

"I want a girl." Avalynn crosses her arms and arlo frowns
"No a boy! Make a boy miss Lucy!" Arlo pleads this isn't build a bear.
"It's a surprise, we dont know if it's going to be a girl or a boy. But are you guys excited to be a big brother and sister?" Lucy replies.
"Yes!" They both clap.

"So we can't tell daddy okay? It's our little secret okay" Lucy replies softly and they both nod adamantly.
"Okay let's get you guys to preschool" Lucy says grabbing their bags and coats and helping them put them on, gosh that conversation couldn't have gotten better.

She takes them to preschool and heads straight to her appointment for a scan.
