the ultimatum

Laura is it?

"Miss Lucy! Colour with us!" Avalynn asks and Lucy smiles and sits down with the twins.
"what should I draw you guys?" She asks grabbing a pile of paper.
"A dog!" Arlo says chewing a pen lid
"okay. And hey don't chew that incase you choke." Lucy says softly and he listens to Lucy and takes it out his mouth.
"Thankyou buddy" Lucy says.

Lucy draws with the twins for a while, then Angela joins them, drawing different zoo animals, the twins started to get bored and fussy and fidgety.

"Luce do you still have a spare key for Tim's place.?" Angela asks Lucy, hoping she does as the twins were getting bored and tired.
"I do actually, I don't know why I kept it.." she says getting her keys and taking Tim's key off her key ring.
"Thanks, I think I'm taking the twins back to Tims.. I don't think he would want them to wait here and they are bored, also Laura is still in the air so." Angela says and Wesley's says he will come with.

"that's not a problem, I will call you with updates" Lucy says.
"Come on kiddos, we are going to take you home" Wesley says as him and Angela grab the kids stuff and packs away their colouring pens and paper.

The twins ran up to Grey and Lucy "bye bye wade, bye nice officer Lucy" arlo says and runs off to grab Wesley's hand Lucy smiles and waves him off.
"bye bye Lucy!" Avalynn claps and runs to follow arlo and Wesley and Angela.

"they are good kids" Lucy states sitting down.
"Tims good for them, I can't imagine what they've been through" grey says and Lucy agrees.
"hey if you need to head off back to tje station I don't mind staying and I'll call to update you" Lucy says and grey looked reluctant
"Seriously grey I don't mind" Lucy repeats
"You sure..I don't mind staying." Grey says and Lucy shakes her head
"You need to get back to work, seriously I promise I'm fine" Lucy promises and grey gives Lucy a hug and says bye and head back to the station.

Lucy sat bored on her own for an hour, flicking through social media, then the news then replying to emails. Tim had been in the OR for three hours now, he should be out and in the icu/recovery ward in the next two hours.

She sighs and she hears a women at the desk "any word on Tim Bradford?"
Lucy looks up and it was a tallish, slim woman with long light brown hair, she assumes it was Laura so she got up.

"Laura is it?" Lucy asks softly, the woman turns around "yeah..?" She says confusingly walking towards Lucy.
"I'm Lucy Chen.." she says putting her hand out.
"Ohhh you're the ex fiancé..I'm Laura robson- is there any word on Tim?" She says shaking Lucy's hand and Lucy shakes her head.
"How did you get here so quick." Lucy asks confused.
"I paid like an extra 100 dollars to get the flight that was leaving 20 minutes after I hung up from you" she replies looking around the hospital for the twins, Lucy must know what she was thinking.

"Twins are at Tim's with Angela and Wesley" Lucy states and Laura nods
"How are they?"laura asks
"they're okay, I don't think they really understand much what's going on. They are great kids" Lucy says and Laura smiles brightly "aren't they..okay well..I'm going to get a cab to Tim's..nice meeting you Lucy" Laura says and Lucy nods and Laura walks off with her luggage.

Lucy sat back down and eventually a doctor came "anyone for Tim Bradford?" He asks..it's only been 3 and a half hours..?Lucy thought and  smiles politely and walks over..
"Is he okay?" She asks.
