Your fucking lying to me

Tim gets home just before 7, he makes him self some dinner and puts left overs in the fridge for Lucy to eat when she's home.

Just as he was about to sit down and enjoy his food after the long stressful day he's had someone was knocking on the door, Tim groans and stumbles to the door and answers it to find Angela at the door.

"What do you want, I was just about to eat" Tim snaps, Angela pushes past him.
"I'm not stupid Tim! Where have you been, you've called a personal..which isn't like you then I came and checked up on you earlier and you weren't here. You've been awol all day!" She snaps concerned sitting on the breakfast island.

"what's it got to do with you where I've been?" He asks grabbing his plate from the sofa and sitting next to Angela and tucking into his food.
Angela sighs and takes his fork and starts eating his food.
"I'm concerned. About you." She says between bites.

"I'm fine" Tim snaps dryly and Angela rolls her eyes
"You always claim you're fine!!! but Tim why were you acting off on Friday huh?? Where were you today, why weren't you answering your phone?" Angela bombards Tim with questions.
"I was tired on Friday, and you haven't even tried to contact me today so I'm not sure what shit you are talking" Tim says sternly glaring at Angela.

"Have a look then" Angela demands dropping the fork and looking at Tim.
Tim rolls his eyes and pulls out his phone to realise he has multiple messages and calls from Angela "oh" is all Tim says.
"yeah. 'oh' indeed. So where have you been" Angela asks again but more strict.

"no where." Tim replies fidgeting with his phone case, Angela picked up on Tim's nervousness.
"You're not in any trouble are you?" She asks squinting her eyes at him.
"Oh no, god no." Tim shakes his head no
"Okay..well..you don't have to tell me right now..but Tim I know you are hiding something- the more you hide it the worse the outcome will be..so my advice tell someone what it is." Angela advises Tim.

Tim thinks about telling Angela..but if he tells Angela she will tell Lucy so he decides against it so all Tim does is nod.
"Can you go now so I can watch the game and eat the rest of MY food peacefully?" Tim asks and Angela smiles at Tim and nods and walks to the door.

"thanks for the food. My doors always open Tim..I'm glad you're safe" she says walking off and Tim sighs and goes back to his food and puts the game on.

It got up to 11:30 and Tim decided to get sorted for bed, he didn't want to wait up to late for Lucy getting home as he has an early shift the next day.

He turns the TV off and he changes just into sweats and puts his phone on sound and goes to sleep.

Lucy came back from her UC case at 12AM, she was in the middle of getting debriefed until Angela came up to her.
"Angela what are you doing here?" Lucy asks confused
"I was just coming here to speak to you before you go home to your fiancé" Angela says dryly.

"Is he okay?" Lucy asks now getting concerned.
"Oh yeah..he's fine he's alive..but uh is anything going on with him?" Angela asks curiously.
"Not what I'm aware of.." Lucy raises her eyebrow.

"Has he been different at all?" Angela asks again and lucy thinks deeply about it.
"Yeah he has actually.. he's been more quiet and secretive. He claims he's just exhausted or tired..he even went to watch mean girls with me" Lucy explains to Angela and Angela sighs.

"He called in a personal today. He didn't come in, he hasn't been home all day Lucy...I've checked on him because I'm a concerned friend and he just seems distant" Angela says concerned
"Okay. Thanks- thanks for telling me, I will speak to him" Lucy smiles softly and walks off.

Lucy hopes Tim's not in any trouble or danger. She heads home and checks on Tim to see he's flat out asleep..so she heats up leftovers and eats them.

She then heads in the shower and puts Tim's sweats on and joins him in bed.

The next morning lucy got up in an empty bed, she panicked at first until she heard banging and crashing in the kitchen. She smiled at the fact Tim was making her breakfast, she got up and walked into the kitchen

"Hey baby" he smiles watching her walk to the kitchen island.
"hiya" she says dryly inspecting Tim's body language.
"I'm making us breakfast, how was UC yesterday?" He asks flipping the bacon.

"uhh success we arrested everyone..how was your day what did you do?" Lucy asked smiling
"Oh I was..was on a metro case- it was a big operation" Tim nods avoiding eye contact. Lucy's heart broke, her body tensed and she sighed frustratedly
