the ultimatum

i cant do this again

Lucy brushed the message Tim sent under the carpet, she didn't really think much of it, she didn't really talk to Tim while he was recovering, she was focusing on her and Ryan and work, obviously she had updates from Angela but nothing much.

Tim had a bumpy recovery, he was in pain most days and others he felt like he could take on the world.

Taking on very energetic twins, while being injured wasn't a good mix. So Angela took the twins most of the week while Tim recovered..as Laura said she wanted to "help" Tim..more like she couldn't care less about the twins..

Tim was feeling much better closer to the end of his recovery leave, it was the day before he started work back up and Angela dropped the twins off from being at daycare.
"DADDY!!" The twins shout happily running up to Tim's legs.
"careful you two, your dads still hurt!"Laura snapped and Tim turned around and raised his eyebrows.
"I'm fine..I literally go back to work tomorrow " He says back and hugs them.

Angela came into the house with the twins bags. "Teacher says they've been great as per" Angela states hanging their bags up.
"That's great" Tim nods standing up from his full height after hugging the twins.

"so you excited to go back to work then tomorrow?" Angela asks and Tim sighs
"Not really? I mean..as much as everyone is okay with me now..Im not comfortable going back"Tim says and Angela sighs softly.
"You'll be okay." She promises and Tim nods.
"thanks for helping out with the twins, honestly I owe you big time!" Tim says and Angela shakes her head.

"No, I could die like four times and you could save me and we still wouldn't even be even" she says with a smirk and Tim smiles
"I know, I know" he replies.

"what's your plans for the rest of the day then?" Angela asks and Tim shrugs
"Was going to take the twins out for food, like just us three you know? Kid and dad time." He says as he walks Angela to the door, Laura heard Tim and she rolled her eyes, she was going to say something but she didn't want to make a scene infront of Angela.

"without Laura?" Angela asks now they were out of Laura's ear shot.
"uhh yeah..? What's wrong with that?" Tim asks and Angela sighs and looks at him.
"She seems to be abit controlling don't you think?" Angela suggests and Tim sighs
"No,she's trying to help, she knows what's best you know?" Tim says and Angela's expression softens, you're stuck in another manipulative, lying, controlling relationship and you need to escape before it gets too late. Angela wanted to say..but she knows she needs Tim to realise for himself, if Angela pushes him he'll push her away..and she can't loose Tim again.

"mhm" Angela nods, not believing what Tim is saying.
"How is she?" Tim asks nervously and Angela looks at Tim in curiosity and then realises who he is on about.
"oh she's good, have you not spoken to her?" She asks crossing her arms and Tim shakes his head and looks down at his feet.
"Not since hospital, and not since the message situation" he shrugs and Angela puts her hand on Tim's arm.

"Look, she is still hurting and healing from what you did with Ashley, I know you made up in the hospital but I think she's trying to move on and move forward you know..like you are" Angela says and Tim just nods slowly.
"yeah your right, I'm not out the woods yet am I?" Tim says and Angela shakes her head no.

"okay Timothy, I need to get home to my husband and child, why don't you get inside and see your babies huh? They've missed you a lot this week and they've been worried about you. So go on, have dad and kid time, they need it" Angela says softly and Tim nods and pulls Angela into a hug.
"Thanks ang" he whispers and Angela smirks and nods
"You're welcome Tim, I will see you tomorrow in roll call Sargent Bradford?" She says as she pulls away and Tim smiles and nods.
"Yes detective" he replies and Angela waves him off and gets into her car and drives off.

I really hope he realises what kind of relationship he is in sooner than later. Angela thinks.

Tim watches Angela drive off before going back inside.
"Why don't we go out on a date?" Laura says approaching Tim and hugging him.
Tim hugs her back and kisses her head "I'm pretty sure you heard me say to Angela I'm taking the twins out" he says softly.

"well..everything is about them Tim..can we please just do something us two for once?" She asks softly, and Tim sighs.
"sorry babe, but I have hardly seen my babies all week, I want time with them just me and them..maybe we can go out tomorrow after my shift?" Tim asks and Laura steps out of the hug and narrows her eyes at Tim, "fine" she says and walks off.

Tim shakes its off and goes into avalynns room to see the twins colouring in.
"hey arlo and avalynn, do you guys want to go out for food with daddy?" Tim says sitting down on the floor with them, groaning in pain as he lowers himself.

"no laura?" Arlo asks skeptically and Tim nods
"No laura unless you want her too" Tim relies and both the twins eyes snap at him and they immediately shake their heads.
"No, no just you daddy" avalynn says and Tim nods and moves a loose hair behind her ear.
"Okay, well let's find you two some clothes huh? The ones you have on are dirty" Tim says softly standing up slowly, gritting his teeth because of the pain, he was still in a lot of pain.

He walks over to avalynns dresser and pulls out a pastel yellow dress, a blue denim jacket and helps her put them on, he then goes into Arlos room and grabs blue shorts with a yellow shirt to match with avalynn.

They got ready and he walked into the living room to find Laura with a bottle of vodka.
"You guys why don't you go and play in the garden while I say bye to Laura" Tim leans down infront of them, they both happily nod and Tim helps them open the door and they head out.

Tim goes over to Laura and snatches the bottle out of Laura's hand.
"Hey!" She snaps and Tim walks over to the sink and pours it out.
"I am not having another drunk under my house hold around my children!" Tim snaps.
Laura stumbles up and walks up to him.
"Look I'm sorry babe.." she says, making her eyes water for attention.

Tim sighs and goes to the fridge and grabs her bottle of water and hands her it.
"Drink, I want you sober before I get home or asleep..I can't do this again- I did this with Isabel and Ashley.." Tim says and Laura grabs it and kisses Tim.
"Promise" she says and stumbles into their shared room and goes to sleep.

Tim sighs deeply and heads out, taking the twins out to grab some food and icecream.
