the ultimatum

"oh my fucking god" Tim whispers as his body paled. He immediately turned his phone off and threw it on the desk and dropping his head into his hands. How the fuck can he actually process what's going on? What the fuck should he do?!

His whole body was shaking, his hands were trembling, he's a dad for fucks sake and he didn't even know!!

He shuts all the reports he was halfway through signing, he can't even focus or hold a pen due to the shock that was rushing around his body..she's got to be lying..if he had kids he would know..right??

He sits in the same place for a good ten minutes before picking his phone up again and re reading the message..he's not in the great frame of mind to even think of a reply.

He clicks onto Ashley's Instagram profile and scrolls through all her posts..there's photos of twins that have bright blonde sandy hair and blue bright eyes..they have his eyes. Tim can see his younger self in them both.. before he could scroll further into her account his phone started ringing.

It was Lucy. Is he meant to tell her?
His hands fumbled to answer the phone, he placed it against his ear and took a deep breath.
"hey Tim, just wondering when your home" Lucy asks softly. Tim doesn't reply, he just shuts his eyes tight hoping the world will just swallow him up whole.

"Tim, babe? Are you there?" Lucy asks again now panicking that all she can hear is Tim breathing.
Tim exhales "y-yeah I'm here.." he stutters
"okay..are you okay?" She asks immediately concerned at Tim's lack of responses
"yeah..great." He says dryly fidgeting with an invisible thread on his metro uniform cargos.
"I rang to see when you are home babe?" Lucy repeats and Tim inhales and exhales deeply.

"I should be about twenty minutes..I'm leaving the station soon I'll finish paperwork on Sunday." He sighs
"okay, it's getting late anyway so why don't you grab takeout and we can watch movies and sleep yeah?" Lucy offers and Tim runs his free hand over his face
"yeah sounds great, see you later babe" Tim sighs hanging up and standing up.

He immediately felt light headed..he doesn't know whether it's his blood pressure rising or shock or the lack of food he's had all day. He collects his stuff and keys and walks to the door, he turns his light off and locks his office door.

He makes his way to the changing room and changes out of his metro uniform and grabs his bag, and walks towards the exit of the station before colliding with someone, he was zoned out just thinking about that message he received not too long ago.

"woah Tim, careful, nearly knocked me off my feet"Angela says holding her self up holding onto Tim's shoulders, Tim snaps back into reality and stared wide eyed at Angela and didn't say anything.

Angela raised an eyebrow "you okay Tim?" She asks concerned, Tim exhales a breath he didn't realise he was holding and looks at Angela with not emotion "Never better. Sorry. Got to go" he stutters and rushes past Angela to head to the parking garage. Angela watched Tim walk off, she was incredibly concerned by her best friend's body language.

Tim makes his way to his truck and jumps in, he immediately turns on the engine and pulls up to  grab a sushi take out, he walks up into the building and orders his and Lucy's usuals, he pays and secures the goods and heads home..to his fiancé Lucy..who he plans on having a future with..?

He pulls up to the drive way of their house, the house they bought together, the house they are planning to have kids in and watch their kids grow up and be wonderful young people and have kids of their own..he can't do this.

He internally screams as he grabs their food and walks up the drive way grabbing his house keys out his jeans pocket and pushing it through the door, he hears the click of the lock and pushes the door open and locks it after him.

He kicks his shoes off and drops his keys into the bowl at the side and walks through their home.

"hey baby" Lucy says walking down the stairs in her fluffy robe and Tim's sweats.
Tim nods in acknowledgment, and walks to the kitchen to plate out their food. Lucy frowns at the lack of interaction..so she follows him into the kitchen.

Tim was unboxing all the food as Lucy walked in, she grabs his hands and turns him to face her, "Tim baby what's going on?" She asks softly full of concern. Tim avoids her eye contact and looks down full of guilt "nothing just exhausted and hungry" he felt shit for not telling her..but he doesn't actually know what to tell her.

"awe babe, let's eat and go to bed yeah..why don't you change as I plate these up" she says pushing in front of Tim and finishing Tim's job of playing the food up. Tim nods and kisses Lucy on the head and strolls up the stairs and heads into their bedroom to change.

He changes and him and Lucy watch true crime cuddled up on the sofa together eating their sushi..and the headed to bed, he pulls Lucy close to him and he shuts his eyes hoping everything will go back to the way it was before he received that message.

Tomorrow will be a new day, he will deal with the problem then.
