..he really needed help but he didn't know who to ask.
He sighs and picks up his phone and selects a contact and listens to its dial.
"hey this is Laura robson from cps" she answers, Tim could hear that she was still driving in the background.
"is there any chance your good at decorating?" Tim says awkwardly.
"Tim?"she asks
"yeah it's me" he laughs.
"I would say I'm quite good" she replies laughing.
"can you help me..please? I mean you don't have to.. but I have no one- like no one,no support..Laura..and I need help" Tim admits ashamed..Tim never asks for help and he was ashamed to ask. Laura felt terrible for the single father, she sighs "I'll be there in a hour" she says softly.
"Thanks so fucking much" he says.
"I did say call if you need help" Laura laughs and they hang up.
Tim sighs in relief..At least someone is happy to help him. He hasn't realised how alone he is until now..he can't even turn to Angela or Lucy or anyone. He sees the time and it was only 2PM so he decides to try and enrol the children into preschools.
He dials a number of the local preschool.
"Mid wilshire preschool" the receptionist greets.
"hey, I am Tim Bradford and I have just gained full custody of my children, they are twins and I'm just wondering if you have any spaces available so I can enrol them here?" Tim asks nervously.
"Let me just check" the lady says and he can hear her type in the computer.
"yes we do actually, what are their names?" She asks
"Arlo Bradford and Avalynn Bradford" Tim replies.
"okay great, let me just get more information about them and you.." she says
Tim gives them the information and they talk about Tim's situation.
"okay thank you mr Bradford, their teacher will be miss Avery. School time is 8AM to 4PM is this okay for your working hours?" She asks.
"uh yeah I'll work it out, when do they start?" Tim asks.
"Wednesday, so you have tomorrow to prepare, I do need you to come to the reception to fill out some paperwork " The lady says and Tim agrees.
"okay, thankyou. See you Wednesday" Tim replies and hangs up and puts his phone on the counter.
He walks into the living room to see the kids still asleep, he goes into the kitchen and he decides to make the kids some pancakes, they can eat what ever they want now as they are away from Ashley.
He finishes making the pancakes and puts
Blueberries on to make it look like a smiley face.
He puts the plates onto the dining table and he walks into the living room and kneels infront of the sofa and taps arlos and avalynns shoulder "babies wake up" he whispers softly.
Avalynn wakes up and she flinches "don't hit me" she says scared, Tim sighs "it's not mommy it's daddy, baby your safe now" Tim says softly.
Arlo wakes up and yawns, avalynn jumps into Tim's arms and so does arlo "shhh it's okay" Tim whispers into their ears.
Tim knows it'll take a while for the twins to feel safe again. "I made you guys some pancakes" he says picking them both up and walking to the dining table and placing them down in a chair each.
They start eating, and tim stands and admires them, he's proud to be a dad.
"Daddy this is tasty" arlo claps looking at Tim, Tim smiles "I'm glad you're enjoying it" Tim replies and goes over and steals a bite of pancake from avalynn.
"Hey daddy that's mine" she giggles and so does arlo and Tim just smiles..he could get used to this little family.
Tim walks out the dining area to call grey.
"Bradford how are you settling in?" He asks.
"great..I suppose. Uhh I can return to work on Wednesday, however I'll be slightly late to roll call because I need to fill out paperwork at the kids preschool, also I would need to be let off at 4 to collect them until I get a baby sitter" Tim explains.
"Hey I can reduce your hours for now don't stress, I'll let you ease back into work. So you can work 8:30- 3:45 for now..then we can sort it out to increase your hours" grey explains.
"Thanks wade..honestly I don't deserve any help or sympathy off anyone..but thanks" Tim says.
"You're welcome, I've spoke to pine and she says it's okay for you to make the jump out of metro, I've explained the situation and she understands."
"Thanks wade"Tim says
"your welcome, see you Wednesday Sargent Bradford" grey says and hangs up, Tim puts the phone down.
And finally the door knocked..
