Bailey sighs as her radio goes off "as much as I would love to stay we have to go, I'll get John to update me" she says walking off with Emmett.

Lucy sighs and walks up to the front desk, "can I help you?" The lady asks and Lucy sighs and clasps her hands to stop them shaking.
"Yeah, any word on the police officer brought in? Tim Bradford" she asks
"uhh are you his emergency contact, Lucy Chen?"The lady asks and Lucy nods why hasn't he updated his records?!

"give me a second" the lady says typing on the computer.
"he's had scans to see where the bullets are now he's in surgery and he will be getting blood transfusions" the receptionist replies softly.
"Do you know how long hes in surgery for??" Lucy asks panicking

"Uhmm..around 5ish hours" the lady says softly smiling at Lucy and Lucy sighs and nods
"Will he be okay" she asks and the receptionist softens "I don't know love" and Lucy nods and thanks her and walks back to Angela and grey.

"What did she say?" Angela asks and Lucy rubs the sweat off her forehead "he's in surgery for probably 5 hours" Lucy says.
"Okay-" no one could say much more until Ryan came rushing in.

"Lucy! Lucy!" He shouts running over to her and gathering her into his arms.
"I'm okay." She whispers
"I heard an officer got shot, and it was your Adam tag..I thought-" Ryan trails off and Lucy shakes her head
"It was Sargent Bradford" Lucy tells him and he brings her into another hug
"The one you punched in the bar?" He asks and Lucy nods, Ryan only knew parts of the story.
"he jumped in front of a bullet for me.." Lucy tells him.
"he saved you Lucy, be grateful..he sort of deserved it.." Ryan says kissing her head.

"But it's not right Ryan..he's got twins..he's a single dad and now the doctors don't even know if he will be okay..it should have been me who was shot" Lucy says sadly.

"Look I'm just glad you're okay babe" he says, Lucy realises Ryan was still in his patrol uniform.
"Hey head back on shift..I know your station is not as lenient as mid wilshire..so go, I'll see you after" Lucy says kissing Ryan and Ryan leaves reluctantly.

"I've called Wesley to come here before grabbing the twins, I'll go with him because picking up three toddlers will be a struggle." Angela informs Grey and Lucy
"I think we need to tell Laura" Lucy states.

"I don't know how we could get in contact with her." Angela sighs
"Who is Laura?!" Grey asks and Lucy sighs
"Kids social worker, Tim was sort of seeing her I think..well he was going to take her on a date" Lucy explains and grey nods.
"Wait Wesley would have her number wouldn't he? I mean he did work on the case?" Lucy suggested

"hopefully." Angela agrees, Lucy sighs and starts pacing "if he dies-" she says starting to panic again.
"Lucy he won't." Grey promises
"what if he goes into a coma or what if he has like a condition where he is stuck in bed for his whole life or something?! What about the kids his job..I wouldn't be able to live with my self..! I wish he didn't jump in front of me, it should be me in that table!" Lucy rants and Angela sighs.

"If you keep saying the same thing over and over again, that you wish he didn't jump and if you keep thinking the worst what ifs or worst case scenario I will take your gun out your belt and point it at you" Angela snaps
"LOPEZ!" Grey snaps

"Why are you shouting at my wife" Wesley comes into the waiting room.
"Your wife threatened to pull her gun out at Lucy." Grey deadpans
"because Lucy was spiralling about Tim!! She was going over the same scenarios! Like Tim's going to be fine" Angela says.

"Angela just don't threaten to kill anyone okay? Especially as we are awaiting to see if Tim survives" Wesley tells Angela.
"oo Wesley do you have Laura's number we need to tell her about Tim" Lucy changes the subject.
"Yeah I do actually. I'll send it to you" Wesley says sending Lucy the number.
"Do you seriously want me to tell her? I'm literally Tim's ex fiancée and she is his current situationship??" Lucy says forgetting the situation although she was spiralling a few mins ago.
"Tim been shot Lucy" grey deadpans
"Right" she nods picking up her phone and walking off.

She presses the number and she listens to it dial.
"This is Laura robson from CPS" she answers and Lucy sighs
"It's officer Chen, Tim's been shot on shift" Lucy says nervously and awkwardly.
"What is he okay?! How's the twins?!" She panics
"we don't know..he's in surgery right now.. twins are still at preschool I think they get picked up soon by Wesley Evers" Lucy explains

"Okay. Thanks for telling me..I will get the next flight there and I'll look after the twins and stay at Tim's, They are comfortable with me" Laura says and Lucy agrees.
"See you soon, sorry for letting you know" Lucy says
"Thanks for informing me I should be about 3-4 hours" Laura says and hangs up.

Lucy goes back to grey, Wesley and Angela
"Laura's on her way..she's going to take care of the twins At Tim's as they are comfortable with her" Lucy says.
"to be fair..Tim might be more comfortable with her taking them than me and Wesley as all of us still aren't on good terms with him" Angela says and everyone agrees.

"Angela we have to grab the kids" Wesley says and walks out and Angela follows him.
