Aaron takes a deep breath and knocks and walks into Tim's room, Tim's eyes widen "Aaron?!" He exclaims in shock.
"Hi..these are for you" Aaron says awkwardly.
"You brought me flowers?" Tim smirks and Aaron breaks out into a laugh.
"yeah I did. Is that a problem?" He replies walking over to a vase to put them in.
"Aaron..sorry to tell you but I'm seeing someone.. sorry to burst your bubble" Tim laughs.
Aaron's eyes widen and he turns to Tim and hits his leg "hey! You know that's not- what- I'm straight! They are 'I forgive you and get well soon flowers' Tim."Aaron replies Tim breaks into a full belly laugh.
"eeee I was joking Thorsen." Tim chuckles.
"Your egos to high. What happened to the old Tim Bradford? The 100% serious one who didn't have a sense of humour?" Aaron asks taking a seat next to Tim's bed.
"he's gone. I'm a new person thorsen..I regret all my past actions..I'm changing for the better now." Tim says sitting up and groaning in pain.
"hey easy!" Aaron says jumping up.
"I'm fine." Tim says through gritted teeth.
"Where does it hurt?" Aaron asks curiously.
"Just where I've been shot, it's fine- I'm fine." Tim says reassuringly.
"okay. Well I just came to see how you were..and that i forgive you..only because Lucy's forgave you. But you've had enough torture. I don't apologise for any time I laid my hands on you though sir" Aaron says looking at Tim.
Tim sighs "I don't want you to apologise for laying your hands on me, I deserve every punch anyone has gave me. And thanks for giving me your forgiveness..I promise I won't ruin things ever again" Tim promises and Aaron nods.
"your a dad now huh?" Aaron exclaims.
Tim smiles brightly "I am, they are amazing Aaron..like honestly being a dad changes you" Tim says proud of his twins.
Aaron was about to reply but grey came in.
"Oh Sargent grey, hey" Tim greets.
"Hey thorsen, and Bradford" grey nods.
"I'll catch up with you tomorrow or when you get out Tim. Take care" Aaron says getting up and leaving to give grey and Tim privacy. "Bye thorsen" grey and Tim say on Aaron's way out.
Grey moves to a chair and sighs as he sits down and clasps his hands together.
"your a silly man Tim." Grey starts and Tim looks at grey in question.
"What do you mean..I saved Lucy from being in this position " Tim asks curiously
"You did that to prove your self son, you refused to call for back up because you wanted to show everyone that your a great cop and person and you wanted them to accept your apologies..you didn't follow protocol." grey states and Tim sighs.
"that's not exactly true. I would jump infront of Lucy a million more times if there's a gun getting pointed at her." Tim grumbles.
"but Tim, I watched the body camera footage. You had plenty of time to talk the suspect down or stop him shooting..or even pull tasers out, you could of even shot the suspect after the first shot instead of just leaping infront of Lucy" grey says.
"I know..but like.." Tim didn't know what to say.
"You wanted to save the love of your life, I get it son" grey says softly.
Tim's brows furrowed "she's not-" Tim's starts and grey laughs
"Come on Tim, you were in love with her way before you two got together. Then you were engaged and together for three years..you can't convince me that you don't love her" grey says raising his brows at tim.
"I'm seeing Laura now, she's with Ryan. Grey even if I still do love her and have a thing for her nothing will be the same- I ruined it. She's happy without me..and I'm happy with Laura" Tim rambles.
"if that's what you think Tim, go and get your eyes tested." Grey says.
"I'm not talking about my love life to my boss." Tim grumbles turning away.
"okay. When do you get out?" Grey asks changing the suspect
"I don't know, I'm hoping my physical goes well so I can go home tomorrow" Tim sighs.
"You can't go back to work too quick . You know what happened last time" grey states and Tim nods.
"Don't worry, I've got kids wade I have to take care of my self too. If I'm not in a fit state I can't take care of them" Tim says softly.
"Good man. What happened to the old you?" Grey chuckles
"that man left several months ago" Tim says crossing his arms.
"your kids are great, welcome to father hood Tim" grey says
"Fatherhood is easy." Tim shrugs and grey starts to laugh hysterically
"No Tim it gets harder..especially when they hit the teenage stage..gosh Dominique was tough in her early teens" grey says shaking his head.
"Sarge don't say that. They are still babies, my babies- so just shush!" Tim snaps and grey smirks.
"They grow up quick Tim, make the most of it with them" grey says
"I will don't worry, they'll have a better life with me than they did with Ashley" Tim says adamantly
"How long is Ashley in prison for?" Grey asks
"6 years. It's not enough but it's still something" Tim shrugs.
"What would you do if she fights for custody when she gets out?" Grey asks curiously and Tim couldn't reply as the doctor comes in.
"hey mr Bradford ready for your physical exam?" The doctor says and Tim nods
"Good luck Tim, call me with your results so I can sort out work for you. Take care" grey says rubbing Tim's arm and leaves.
