the ultimatum

Tim your awake?!

Tim's eyes widen and he glares at Angela and Lucy.
"Tim you're awake" Lucy sighs in relief.

Tim didn't respond he just stares at Lucy and Angela in confusion.
"I think we need to expand..doctor did say he will be confused." Angela whispers and Lucy sighs and touches Tim's hand, he flinches away and frowns at Lucy.

"you've been in a medically induced coma Tim" Lucy says slowly..Tim frowns at Lucy.
"W-w-why?" He says struggling to form words.
Lucy couldn't reply because the doctor came in.
"Welcome back mr Bradford, how are you feeling?" The doctor says checking all Tim's vitals.

Tim just shrugs and looks around confused.
"Tim can you talk for me?" The doctor asks looking in Tim's throat, eyes and ears.
"Yeah." Tim nods.
"Great..what's the last thing you remember..do you know why you are here?" The doctor asks checking Tim's reflexes.

"Lucy and Angela..says I was in an induced c-coma" Tim stuttered still looking around confused.
"That's correct, do you remember how you got there?" The doctor asks and Tim thinks for a while, then everything came back to him.

"I took bullets for Lucy" Tim says pointing at Lucy.
"And you were an idiot for doing so" Lucy snaps at Tim and Tim raises his brows.
"I saved you though" he shrugs.

"okay, your showing great signs, your vitals are great, speech is great and memory is getting there..we will still need to do a full physical however, we will do that later though" the doctor says.
"what's the date?" Tim asks looking for a clock or something.

"November12th" Angela answers and Tim nods slowly.
"so I've only been down for 8 days?" He asks and both Angela and Lucy nod.
"Wait! Where's the twins..they are still in my care aren't they?! It was hard fighting for custody" Tim snaps and spirals.
"Don't worry Tim they are at preschool, Laura's going to pick them up soon " Lucy reassures Tim.

"Laura's still here?!" Tim asks shocked.
"She cares, and likes you a lot Tim" Lucy says and Tim raises his eyebrows at Lucy after hearing that come out of her mouth.
"yeah. I like her a lot too.." Tim nods slowly.

His eyes meet with a bunch of soft toys, flowers and get well soon cards "that's..like a whole florist and toy store over there" Tim chuckles.
"Oh yeah, this dog is from avalynn and the police bear is from Arlo..the other soft toys are from officers from the station" Angela says passing Tim the soft toys.
"they are so cute, I love them" Tim says gesturing to the soft toys avalynn and Arlo bought him.

"the soft toys were staying in the bed with you for a while but I think the doctors had moved them" Angela laughed.
"oh well" Tim shrugged placing the soft toys next to him.
"I've got to go and do the school run for jack, I'll grab avalynn and Arlo and Laura too and tell them you're awake"Angela says softly hugging Tim and leaving.

It was just Lucy and Tim.
"I'm fucking starving" Tim grumbles.
"of course you are" Lucy laughs rolling her eyes and Tim smirks.
"You calling me fat huh?" Tim laughs.
"Yeah. That's what I'm doing" Lucy chuckles and Tim smiles and looks down at the soft toys the twins had got him.

"want me to leave you alone for abit, and grab you something to eat and drink? I'll also call everyone telling them you're awake?" Lucy asks Tim and Tim nods
"Please..get me anything, I could stomach anything at this minute of time" Tim says and Lucy smiles and nods.

Tim just has a few minutes to him self to process everything..he still doesn't regret jumping in front of Lucy..
