How is he doing

They walked back to the waiting room where Laura was.
"okay you guys I've got to head to work now, stay with Laura" Angela says to the twins and they shake their head.
"no" avalynn crosses her arms.

"Come on sweetie" Laura sighs and the twins shake their head
"Can we go to school?" Arlo asks softly and Angela nods.
"okay. But you guys have to be nice to Laura, she's your daddy's close friend and she was only trying not to upset you" Angela says to the twins.
"But lyings bad" Arlo says raising his brows and Angela sighs.
"it is, but Laura is very sad that your daddy is in hospital, she didn't want to upset you guys too..go give her a hug" Angela explains pushing them towards Laura, Laura kneels down and hugs them and kisses their heads
"I'm sorry you guys" she whispers and they hug her back.
"It's okay. You're sad about daddy" avalynn says and Laura looks up at Angela and mouths 'thanks' and Angela nods.

"Okay let's go so I can drive you to school and take Laura back to your daddy's" Angela claps her hands, everyone headed to Angela's car.

They arrived at the twins preschool and headed to the reception, Angela smiled at the receptionist.
"hey sorry avalynn and Arlo are late they were visiting mr Bradford in hospital" Angela says as the twins hugs her and Laura bye and goes to their class room with a teacher.

"Hey it's all good, anything you need we can support okay?" The receptionist says reassuringly.
"okay great, thanks" Angela and Laura says and leaves, Angela drops Laura off at Tim's and drives to work.

Angela was about to walk to her desk until grey came up to her.
"how's he doing?" He asks concerned
"He's been put in a medically induced coma" Angela replies sadly.
"Oh gosh..when does he wake up?"grey sighs and Angela replies
"Should be about a week? If is body is strong enough"" she says and grey sighs and nods.

"How's the twins?" Grey asks and Angela shrugs
"they don't really understand what's going on, they are happy I suppose, they are at school at the minute"Angela explains and grey nods.
"just ask if you need anything" grey says and walks off.

Angela was looking into cases for a few hours, then she seen it was lunch. Lucy was in the middle of processing someone.

Angela ran up to her "hey Luce" Angela says and Lucy smiles at her
"Hey" she replies as she puts a suspect into a cell.
"It's lunch, fancy going for the food trucks?" Angela asks and Lucy nods.
"yeah sure, let's go now as I'm free" she says walking with Angela.

They grab their food and sit down at a table
"so how was Tim this morning? Any improvement?" Lucy asks eating her taco.
Angela shakes her head "nope"
"How's the twins?" She asks another question.
"They are okay..I think, they don't really understand what's going on you know?" Angela explains and sips her drink.

"yeah" Lucy agrees.
"What's up with you? Are you okay?" Angela asks and Lucy shrugs.
"Better than Tim." She deadpans, Angela drops her fork and stares at her.
"Lucy" she sighs and Lucy rolls her eyes.
"I kicked Ryan out last night." She says picking at her food.

"huh why? I thought he was a good man?" Angela asks curiously.
Lucy nods "he was..he still is..he just was being a dick about Tim that's all.." she shrugs.
"You can't break up with Ryan over Tim.." Angela sighs and Lucy nods.
"I know..I was just over reacting..I know. It was just it was a horrible day, Tim being shot and saving my life, I watched him get shot that's all"Lucy shrugs and Angela reaches her hand over the table.

"That's understandable, Ryan is good for you though Lucy makeup with him" Angela says rubbing her thumb on Lucy's hand.

And it just so happened at that very moment Ryan and a few officers from his division pulled up at the food trucks..Ryan saw Lucy and Angela.
"Luce!" Ryan shouts walking over to her.
"Hey Ryan.." Lucy smiles.
"Lucy I'm heading back to the station, I'll catch up with you later.." Angela smiles at the two and walks off.

Ryan sits down in Angela's seat and sighs "I'm sorry." He says and Lucy grabs his hand and shakes her head.
"No im sorry, I overreacted..emotions were heightened..I was just not in the right head space, I watched Tim get shot..it was just a hard day- but I'm sorry" Lucy apologises.

Ryan smiles "so we are good?" He asks and Lucy nods "we are"
Ryan goes over and brings her up to his height and hugs and kisses her.
"see you tonight then?" He asks and lunch agrees "yeah" she replies and kisses him again.

"I've got to go and grab a bite to eat before my break ends, love you Lucy" he says bringing her in for another kiss.
"Bye ryan" Lucy waves and watches him walk off, she goes back on shift too.
