the ultimatum

the tests

Tim rolls his eyes and grabs to two boxes out of his bag and sat them on the table.
He opens one box and reads the instructions
and takes everything out.

"okay we can either withdraw blood or just do a mouth swab..mouth swab is probably better" Tim says putting some gloves on and grabbing the swabs.
"okay. Who's first?" Ashley asks, arlos eyes light up "ME!!" He claps excitedly.

Tim nods and stands and walks to the other side of the booth, "okay open your mouth buddy, I'm just going to use this white thing to swab the inner corner of your cheeks..it should only take a second" Tim explains.
Arlo opens his mouth wide and Tim swabs his cheeks and puts the swab straight into a clear bag and writes arlos name on and places it in a box.

"that tickled" Arlo giggles going back to his cake, Tim just smiled
"Avalynn your up" Tim says grabbing another swab, Avalynn was skeptical.
"Just do it!" Ashley snaps at Avalynn.
Tim glares at Ashley because of her tone with Avalynn.
"it's okay sweetie, just open your mouth and it'll take two seconds" Tim says trying to reassure Avalynn.

"okay.." she says slowly opening her mouth, Tim quickly swabs her cheeks and then puts it into a clear bag and writes her name on and places it in the other box.
Tim then does two swabs and places each swab in each of the boxes.

"okay there we go" Tim sighs as he finishes the paternity tests and sealing both boxes.
"okay. Are you going to take them to the station to get tested?" Ashley asks sitting her self closer to Tim.
"no. I think I'll send them off for a proper labs to test them, it's more reliable and accurate and no one will find out." Tim explains and Ashley nods "that's probably a good idea" she says agreeing placing her hand on Tim's thigh.

Tim moves away "I'm still engaged ash! I'm still with Lucy so just stop please!" He snaps then grabs a pen and writes the lab address on the boxes and a return address to his house, Ashley rolls her eye's.
"I'll send these off before I head back down to mid Wilshire" Tim says placing them back in his bag.

They talk a lot more, Tim gets to know the two toddlers, they speak about their interests and what their favourite things are etc.
Tim realises that Ashley seems to control both kids..and snap at them a lot..and be a bit of a bitch to them.

An hour or so passed, Tim saw he will have to head off soon to get home before Lucy,
"I'm going to have to head off..it's nice seeing you again Ashley and it's nice meeting you two little monsters" Tim says hugging the two toddlers and waving at Ashley.
"bye daddy" Arlo says softly and Avalynn says "bye bye" and waves.

"okay tell me the results yeah?" She asks bringing Tim into a hug, Tim awkwardly hugs her back.
"Will do, take care" he says and grabs his bag and walks to his truck and gets in.

He pulls out his phone and goes to maps to direct him to the closest post office.
He makes his way there and posts the tests, it says it should take up to 3 days for a result. He posts them off and finally he can make his way home to mid Wilshire.

It was currently 2PM, he should make it back to Mid-Wilshire at 7PM, then he should have plenty of time to get home before Lucy does.

He still can't stop thinking about the way Ashley was treating the twins..it made him feel a bit uneasy leaving them with her..she literally makes them eat a whole vegetable diet because she doesn't want to have 'fat' kids..it shouldn't matter what your kids look like longest if they are happy and healthy.

The drive back felt quicker than the drive there, it wasn't as draining.
He just can't wait to be home..
