the ultimatum

6pm

Angela heads into the locker room to see Lucy hunched over hugging her lower stomach.
"Uh..Lucy??" Angela runs over to her.
"I'm fine..just- cramps" she mumbles and stands up straight.
"Uh huh.. " Angela nods looking Lucy up and down full of concern.

"Don't tell Tim, he's stressed already with Ashley" Lucy pleads.
"But he's the dad of the baby Lucy..he has to know what's going on. He did say he's in for it all?" Angela sighs.
"Look. I feel fine now. The doctor said it was normal to experience cramps in your first trimester, if I thought something was wrong I would get a check up" Lucy sighs shutting her locker after getting dressed and leaving.

Angela watches Lucy leave and shakes her head, she places her stuff in her locker fixes her hair and leaves the locker room.

Angela kept and eye on Lucy all day as she was working paperwork all day. Lucy did seem fine during the day, and she didn't look like she was in pain no more which relieved Angela abit.

It creeped to the end of shift and Tim approached greys office.
"Dad to-be come in" grey smirked.
"I'm already a dad" Tim chuckles and grey shakes his head.
"Anyway. Why are you here?" Grey asks and Tim sighs.

"I need you to approve my day off tomorrow, I've requested it online and no one has approved it" Tim says and grey frowns.
"Okay. Well yes it's approved. Is everything okay?" Grey asks in concern.
"Yeah. Just im visiting Ashley in prison that's all.."Tim says as if it is nothing.
Greys eyes widen and scoffs "your what?!" He asks surprised

"I'm only going to get permission for Lucy to adopt the twins" Tim says and grey nods.
"I understand that. But Tim she'll say no to spite you, we've all met the women and seen how low she can go" grey sighs and Tim shakes his head.
"I only came to get my day off approved, and you've already approved it so I will be on my way" Tim mumbles and leaves the office shutting the door on the way out.

He then approaches Lucy and Angela who were talking near the locker rooms.
"Since Wesley and Tim are gone for the night do you fancy a night at mine, bring the twins so they can have a play date with Jack. And we can have girl talk, baby talk and wedding talk" Angela suggests excitedly.
Lucy thinks about it for a second, all she wanted to do was relax and sleep but she can't as she's taking care of the twins. She sighs and nods
"That would be great" Lucy smiles and Angela claps.

"Great well Tim and Wesley meet up at 6 at the airport so you and the twins come to my house for six and we can order in pizza" Angela says clasping her hands together, Lucy smiles
"Can't wait" she smiles.

Tim approaches them
"Hey" he says wrapping an arm over Lucy's shoulder and smiling down at Lucy then looking up at Angela.
"hey Timothy" Angela smiles.
"Hey babe" Lucy replies kissing Tim.

"Get a room you two" Angela mockingly covers her eyes and fakes making gagging sounds
Lucy and Tim pull away and laugh.
"Am i okay to reveal my eyes?" Angela asks and both Lucy and Tim laugh more and agree.

"Okay great. Tim in stealing your wife to-be tonight" Angela smirks pulling Lucy out of
Tim's grip and puts a arm around Lucy.
"That's fine I'm taking your husband" Tim replies.

"That's okay with me" Angela responds with a smile and Tim rolls his eyes and Lucy laughs at his reaction.
"Okay, the twins finish preschool now, luce are you coming or are you staying with Angela"Tim laughs a Lucy pulls away from Angela.

"Coming with you of course" she says grabbing Tim's hands and walks towards his truck.
"Do you feel any better? Has the cramping gone away?" Tim asks concerned and Lucy sighs
"Yeah it has" she replies softly.
"Great, are you sure you're okay staying alone with the twins?" Tim asks concerned and Lucy responds
"Of course Tim"

"Okay okay, well we will pick them up, I'll pack a bag and meet Wesley at the airport at 6" Tim replies and Lucy nods.
"And when you leave me and the twins are going to Angela's" Lucy says.

They head and pick the twins up and they spend time watching tv until 5:30 creeped up. Tim grabs his stuff and books an Uber.

"Okay daddy is going somewhere with Wesley okay? You guys be good for Lucy" Tim says hugging and kissing the twins.
"when you back?" Arlo asks frowning.
"Tomorrow night buddy" Tim responds ruffling his blonde hair.
"okay." He nods hesitantly.

"have fun time daddy" Avalynn claps and smiles brightly.
"Thanks baby" he says and kisses her head.
He gets a message that the Uber was outside so he pulls the twins into another hug and Lucy walks him to the door.

"Call me when you land" she says softly and pulls him into a tight hug.
"Love you, and will do" he says back, Lucy pulls away and cups Tim's cheeks and kisses him.

"call me before and after you see Ashley too" she says and Tim nods and smiles and heads to the Uber and waves to Lucy as it drives off.

Lucy heads back inside "okay you guys let's get your shoes on we are going to auntie angelas" Lucy says softly picking up two pairs of little shoes and walking over to the twins and helping them get them on.

She then packs them and herself an overnight bag as they are staying the night at Angela's. And they head out to her car, that is when she realises only Tim's truck has car seats in for the twins. She groans and heads back inside to grab Tim's truck keys, looks like she is driving Tim's truck.

She gets the twins in and sits in the drives seat. How the fuck does he drive this thing Lucy thought, she adjusts the seat to match her height. Gosh he's so fucking tall too.

And finally they head to Angela's.

It just hits six as Tim arrives at the airport and he sees Wesley stood outside.
"Thanks" he thanks the driver and gets out and grabs his bag and approaches Wesley.
"Hey man" Tim says approaching him.
"Hey" he replies and they both head inside.

They head to the check in counters and get their tickets, they pass security and they grab food and wait at their gate to board the flight.

Finally it was time for them to board.

Lucy knocks on Angela's door with Avalynn and arlo by her side.
"gosh your didn't have to knock you could of just came in" Angela smiles as she gestures them to come in.

"JACKYY" Arlo and Avalynn shout as they run over to Jack who was sat playing with toy cars in the middle of the living room.
"Ava Arlo!! Play with me" he claps and passes them both cars.

"BROOOMMM"Arlo screams mimicking the sound of a car, Angela and Lucy laugh.
"Theyve made their self like home already, just place the bags to the side we can sort them later" Angela says gesturing to the bags in Lucy's hand. Lucy nods and places them on the floor and follows Angela into the kitchen.

Angela orders them all pizzas to share, while they wait Lucy and Angela sit and talk.
"Are you okay with Tim seeing Ashley?" Angela asks curiously.
"Yeah" Lucy nods avoiding eyecontact
"Chen. I'm a detective I can spot a lie from a mile away" Angela sighs and Lucy groans and puts her head in her hands and leans her elbows on the kitchen island.

"I'm not comfortable with it, he is literally going to see the women he ran off to see, and the same women who abused his kids, and him manipulating them all, framing him, aborting his baby, like come on Angela seeing her is going to have a negative effect on his mental health!! And I can't deal with Tim drowning right now, with me pregnant and the twins and our jobs " Lucy admits frustratedly.
"Okay take a deep breath..you can't get stressed Lucy it'll harm the baby" Angela says placing a hand on her shoulder.

"sorry I know I know" she sighs and takes a few deep breaths.
"Good. Okay. Don't worry about Tim okay? He won't fall that easily. He will be fine trust me. He's got Wesley keeping him in line over there and when he comes back he's got the whole station, you're not alone Lucy you have all of us remember." Angela says softly and Lucy nods.
"Yeah. Your right" she replies.

"Okay that's enough sad stressy talk and let's eat food and talk about wedding!" Angela claps excitedly as she hears the door knock and she pays the pizza delivery and comes back.
